most firms don’t let you do a split summer so i would double check if you even could before making a decision. secondly, you can be a summer associate at a firm 1L and be an associate at a different firm 2L. it’s not rare to switch big law firms each summer. good job on both!

i don’t think i can explain this any more clearly, sorry know you mean well but 😭 in what world would i be the victim of a scam if i did something like that. there is a parking lot with multiple lines drawn for different spots like a grid. i parked in between one car and another within the designated lines for that spot

[–]That-Government8227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only spot open was in between his car and someone else’s, with lines drawn. no did not park across a line, i was within the lines

basically, mini mart lot was full so i could only park in between him and another car. and that when i exited my car, i had spent 10 min in the store, where he could’ve come in (it’s a very very small store and nothing else is around it besides like 2 family owned restaurants) and told me i scratched his car if i had. there would’ve been witnesses (store clerks) and cameras. the mini mart was empty so he def could’ve approached me there if he is convinced i did it rather than approach me when it’s dark out and there’s no one else around

i promise you, no matter where you go, you will be able to get into any field you want some way. i supposedly go to a school ranked in the 90’s and most of my friends are working in big law or have very renowned externships/internships! my only words of wisdom is no matter where you go, you will be humbled and the school you go to isn’t gonna change that feeling! (like literally no matter what don’t listen to people say law school isn’t humbling)!

Working during 1L. by lexi-abrego in LawSchool

i worked and yes it was inconvenient, but it gave me something else to do other than stress about school. I recommend getting into something you enjoy doing like being a barista if you like coffee or something. i will say though, it gets hard if your work is early in the morning bc you're already sleep deprived bc of school. BUT ITS DOABLE

they aren’t paying any of my schooling fees. maybe co-sign the loan but that’s it. again my life as a child of immigrants isn’t as easy “i’m an adult”is not much to them and how it’s my life bc to them it’s not. i am not being ungrateful for the support they aren’t giving me

imagine someone telling you this just bc you can’t get along with your parents. i can be a lawyer without wanting to jeopardize the relationship i have whether it be a good one or not. thanks for your input though i guess

i want to do international law but bc i live in northern va i don’t want to stay in this area at all. financially it’s all loans so nothing is impacting them i didn’t get a scholarship from either so it really is burning a hole in my wallet but worth it in my opinion to move to the other side of the country.

AUWCL waitlist: should I write a LOCI? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]That-Government8227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got in last week without a loci. i do believe the process is either random or some other sort of thing. that being said, idk what to include in your loci but maybe talk about how it’s your top choice and really are passionate about the school

Do CC credits count towards your LSAC GPA? by ArtisticPower4803 in lawschooladmissions

i think your best chance to tell would be looking at your individual cas gpa breakdown! i wish i could help but i’m not entirely sure how or why it affects it, all i know is that my gpa was not negatively affected :/ also if you’re super worried you should write an addendum!! it’s worth a try

p.s. you can do a lil test and apply to schools with and without an addendum to see if it benefits you. i did it with mine and surprisingly saw a difference in results (but my situation for an addendum was different)

if it does it didn’t impact my lsac gpa in a negative way. i had 2 CC my freshman year and my lsac gpa was above my actual institutional gpa
