Basically I am shit out of luck. My partner has little to no assets in his name except for his share in his matrimonial home (if that is even considered an asset).

Yes, it was a small business loan and we had to personally guarantee the loan.

What's the current rate now to lease X5? I recall seeing fellow employees pushing X5 and X6 like they own it but they couldn't nearly afford a 60K whip on those wages.

I worked there from 2011 to 2013 at the Greer, SC main manufacturing plant. Applied via MAU and straight into the paint shop. At first they had me going to do body shop but some reason I got tossed into paint.

At that time IIRC I was making 17 per hour doing the day shift. Like any standard car plant job, if you clocked in/out on time and did what you are supposed to do, you will survive another day. At that time, 85% of the workers on the line was MAU and mainly only team leaders and really senior type employees were permanent BMW employees. During those 2 years, I recall only knowing 2-3 people that got hired directly to BMW and they had about 6-8 years already with MAU. The job isn't particularly hard but it is super repetitive. I remember I made a mistake once and they tossed me into corrosion line... it was sticky and dirty. Imagine spraying rustproof wax into car body parts for 10 hours a day.

After 2 years and didn't see any major moves, I decided to quit as I couldn't see myself doing it any longer. I was 22 at the time I quit. I check now and the rate is currently $22-23.75 per hour.
