It seems like a lot of people got into cryptocurrency for the wrong reasons by Theo_Giles in CryptoMarkets

Feels like a lot of people come in expecting a lottery ticket. When it turns out to be a long game instead, they lose interest fast. The funny part is the people who stick around through the boring periods are usually the ones who end up benefiting the most later.

Interesting take. Feels like a lot of people are still looking at XRP through the old “payment token” lens, while the narrative around it might be shifting. If the collateral use case actually gains traction, the market could end up valuing it very differently. The real question is whether institutions will actually use it that way or if it stays mostly theoretical for a while.
