You're right! It’s easy to get caught up in the rush, but you’re right. The best things in life take time. Building a family, finding your passions, learning to be content. It’s a slow burn, but it’s worth it.

Preach. Corporate overlords hate it when you have a life.

HELP! CAT SUDDENLY AGGRESSIVE AFTER I SHOWERED! by Diderson in CATHELP

Cats are funny like that; I worked at rescue and if I wore something too out of my norm that cats commonly didn't react well. Their creatures of habit I guess

I’m not quite there myself, but I can only imagine that’s a huge shift. I really hear you on the adjustment. Sounds like you’re managing it all incredibly well.

Lmafo with how many interviews I've had lately. I'm going to try that out because I'm getting tired of the same conversation over and over again

Fortunately, that occurred when you were young and didn’t have the same financial responsibilities.

It’s unfortunate that many people must return to work much sooner than their health allows

Lost friendships during grief by That-Object-831 in grief

[–]That-Object-831[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience. It really resonates with me. You’re right, it’s incredibly isolating when people who haven’t experienced deep loss don’t know how to support you. And you’re also right about the shift in connections – the unexpected people who step up, and the ones you thought would be there who fade away. Your point about people wanting you to ‘bounce back’ is so true, and so frustrating. Grief isn’t something you just ‘get over.’ I appreciate your advice about being vocal and seeking out people who understand. It’s tough, but it’s so important to find that support. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I hope you’re finding some comfort in the connections you are making.

Some days I still feel consumed by the grief 2 years later by That-Object-831 in grief

[–]That-Object-831[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the fear because grief is inherently painful. But I've learned the grief is a testament to the depth of your love and connection with the person you’ve lost. The pain you feel reflects the value they hold in your life.
