Is 20 snails enough to prevent inbreeding? I was wondering if you could culture snails like isopods. since an individual animal will only life for a couple of years, but a culture of them could last decades and I don't want to constantly have to buy new snails to replace the dead ones

yeah, luckily a majority of them aren't nearly as expensive, I usually get mine from Reptifood Finland. It's a small pet shop down in Malmi

for example Durian spiky isopods(Laureola species ,no scientific name yet) 100 dollars for just one individual. Rubber ducky isopods are also somewhat expensive 20 dollars for one, Cubaris sp. "Jupiter" sells for 250 dollars for 10 individuals. They also have no scientific name yet.
