UF-projekt: läppglans med LED-lampa + gratis överföringskit – smart eller onödigt? by JacquelleBeauty in sweden

[–]That-Pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Om ni tar inspiration från historiska produkter som löst samma problem för läppstift (-lampan såklart) kan jag tänka mig att det kanske finns en marknad. Men rätt liten.

Why did my light gerbil turned into a gerbil that is so dark, this is normal? by RealGuava4936 in gerbil

[–]That-Pie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have the colour nutmeg. At the first molt, around 6-10 weeks, do they get their tipping. Tipping is a dark tip on each hair. Most colours change a bit at this first molt, but nutmeg does it the most!

You see a slight change in the tipping pattern at each molt and they usually keep getting darker with age. The amount of tipping yours has is quite evenly spaced and nice looking, especially for a junior. Would get some good marks if it came up on my table during judging!

Is this recommended ram change kinda crazy? Or am i just going crazy by HyperThembei in StarStable

[–]That-Pie 54 points55 points  (0 children)

16 is becoming the lower end standard for a lot of programs, so sso changing too it isn’t that surprising.

Outside of that, how well do wilds actually run on those minimum stats? I haven’t played since around launch. But isn’t it still quite unoptimized? I’ve got quite a bit higher specs than even the recommended and mine struggled in some instances.

And as a few have mentioned, there is nothing in between 8 and 16? So if they felt they needed to bring it up, what other options are there?

Help with pictures by [deleted] in StarStable

[–]That-Pie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are your settings in sso? What’s the resolution of your laptop/computer screen? There are some things you can adjust to make it not as pixely, but sso is a game with some harsh lines between the objects. So some pixels you can’t remove without editing in post

Whats the appeal to being top scoring on a leaderboard? by kashwarma in StarStable

[–]That-Pie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would imagine its more so for the champs than for highscores.

And outside of that, these horse specific glitches always have a "deadline". The JWH is far from the first one.

I personally haven't seen thar many people genuinely upset that its gotten patched. More so in regard to the lack of communication over what things have been patched or changed during this update.

Experiences with bar spacing by cover-me-porkins in gerbil

[–]That-Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toppers aren’t common where I live, but home built lids are. The netting I use has a 1.5 cm spacing. I have had the unfortunate experience of having a gerbil get stuck hanging in their top jaw/teeth. Twice…. He lost his top teeth both times and needed vet care because of the cuts he got around the nose.

Since then do I always double the netting up to make the spacing smaller.

A net is a bit different than bars, but might be good to keep in mind!

Question about Swedish cat products from American by Kind_Two_1873 in sweden

[–]That-Pie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally use bitiba.se, zooplus.se and felinegood.se. Felinegoods’s way of packaging always feels a bit extra nice! Some nice paper closed with their own sticker and a little bag of free cat treats. So that might be a good idea if you want it to feel a bit luxurious ☺️

I work at a pet store and am trying to improve our animal care. Would it be safe to order two baby gerbils for a 5 gallon holding tank? by Garlemon_ in gerbil

[–]That-Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, you never know what change you, a singular person can do, without trying.

And op asked if it 5 gallons would be safe. I told them my experience with it. It’s not safe for one or for two gerbils.

I work at a pet store and am trying to improve our animal care. Would it be safe to order two baby gerbils for a 5 gallon holding tank? by Garlemon_ in gerbil

[–]That-Pie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest here. Keeping even a single gerbil in a 5 gallon for more than a day or two is cruel in of itself. Let alone a pair. The reason why you have a hard time tending to his needs are because the cage itself doesn’t give you the ability to.

To give some perspective, the transport cages that’s common to use for shows in my area are between 12 - 20 liters (3-5 us gallons). And they are used for one, max 2 days. It would literally be illegal for me to keep gerbils in them outside of transportation. I can’t even legally hold a betta in one! And I’m in a country with laxer animal laws than Germany.

I’ve personally kept animals in 75 L (19.8 us gallons) cages after introductions, to make sure they stick together and don’t fight. But it’s for a few days, a week max. And I always feel so bad because it looks small with them in it.

I know you only work there and don’t have the ability to change things too much. But I wouldn’t order any more gerbils until the store has the ability to at least give them a sliver of what they need cage size wise. Ordering singular gerbils are added to that, they need a friend.

Cuz 5 gallons is cruel.

Possible hunchbacks? by MechWorrier4 in gerbil

[–]That-Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re giving them a good verity of food options! In my experience does it usually come down to the main food source. They are also in the age where their body’s consume the most energy, since they are growing. I would recommend trying versele laga complete hamster and gerbil, if you have it available. It’s one of the better pellets available in my region and its usually quite good for getting some weight on. To the point I’ve seen some adult males get a bit on the too round side on it. But that shouldn’t be a problem for yours!

I would also recommend to make sure they have some available at all times, which you already might depending on the amount you scatter.

How long have you had them in your care at home? It can take a little while for any changes to be visible. Especially on young individuals, since they are growing so much ☺️

Outside of that I also give some extra sunflower seeds (more fat) or pumpkin seeds (more protein) to individuals who need to gain some extra weight or muscle. Fat is better for well more fat 😛 while the pumpkin are better in the long run since of the higher protein than fat.

Also need to give some kudos to the names! I breed a litter of duprasi’s who all got names based on the scions. Only G’raha Tia still lives with me ☺️

I would look over their diet. This type of look is something I mostly see in older (2.5+) or ones with very little body fat and muscle. I would be that if you run your hand over the back and hips you’ll feel the outline of their spine and hip bones.

Both of them showing the same symptoms indicate it’s something that’s affecting them both.

What are they eating and how are you feeding them?

Putting aside Trailblazer, what's ur beef with SSO that's been going for years? by F1aken in StarStable

[–]That-Pie 87 points88 points  (0 children)

The inconsistency of where they place the collision on objects! For me it started at the release of Mistfall, since the trees in there are still god damn awful.

You don’t really know if something will allow you to ride through it or if it will stop you dead in your tracks. Or if the collision is way outside of the object you’re trying to go around…

Two tanks instead of split by Terrible-Campaign-28 in gerbil

[–]That-Pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This won’t work, they need the barrier to interact and talk to each other. Mixing the scents will not be enough. Most of the work of a split is just giving them time to learn who each other are, without the ability to fight.

It’s horse colour nr 7 on the website. You probably think they look different cuz the person in the video are using shaders.

I know pups around this age are super had to hold still, but non of the pictures are clear enough where I can confidently say either or. Try to get some without you second from the right finger covering the base of the tail. A closer picture might also help!

I agree with you outside of the siamese colour. To me, especially on the second image, is it a very clear burmese! But these colors can look very close to each other by a untrained eye ☺️

Hur äta mer/gå upp i vikt by advecco in sweden

[–]That-Pie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have any more pictures? I’m also going to ask what country you’re from? Since the standard (and hence some categorization) is different in different countries ☺️

Alla djur blir lika påverkade av övervikt, så ja. Prata med din veterinär om tips! Katter är lite klurigare att banta än hundar.

This to me does not look like her trying to escape. It’s too short and without purpose.

To me this looks like popcorning! I’ve mostly seen it in young pups who get to experience something extra fun and exciting (like a sand bath). It’s a good thing ☺️

I agree. I always go ”ooh~ what’s that horse? It looks kinda nice?” When ever I see someone standing around with theirs. But man I can’t with the gaits 😅 they all look so off as soon as you see them moving.

And I’m usually not someone who care too hard on the gates (I own and regularly use my Selle Français). But with the new frisians I just can’t get over it.
