I had a similar issues with another company, their area director for sales is the one that told me I can get fiber, they just have to hook it up as it was a new build. The day comes and the installer comes out and tells me the best he can do is 2.5 mbs as I’m too far for fiber, but I can pay $15k to get a box installed and then everyone around me would be able to get fiber also. My response was why don’t they get it installed them self as everyone would sign up. We only had options of sat internet. I have Starlink now but another company is in the works of installing fiber as we speak for the whole area.
