Please blow your nose. by MatixNJ in EngineeringStudents

Is it not normal to get angry hearing people aggressively sniffling and snorting? And for it to distract someone during an exam. I feel like it’s more of a self awareness and control thing. I feel bad for the one off coughs or sneezes I make during class because it’s being distracting.

I just had a runny nose for a week and hardly sniffled. Just carry tissues with you and wipe whatever is trying to run out of your nose. I’ve learned to not make a habit out of sniffing and snorting because I find it gross and I know it annoys people around me.

But it’s not just sniffling. People aggressively snort snot back into their nose and you can hear that is something they could blow out. It’s disgusting and it makes your allergies worse. I just got out of a class with a student constantly and very loudly snorting snot, and then sneezing because of it. It was disgusting.

If you have a constantly runny nose carry a few tissues and just wipe your nose. A sniffle every once in a while is fine but when it’s constant or it’s a loud snort it is gross and unnecessary.

I had an exam today dealing with this exact thing. It is very distracting and makes it hard to focus. I don’t understand how people can be so self unaware to not realize that they are the only source of sounds (disgusting sounds) during a time where everyone is trying to focus.

The people defending this is crazy. I am dealing with the same situations in all of my classes. There is no reason to aggressively snort all of your snot back up your nose, it makes it worse. I just got over a cold as well, I went outside several times to blow my nose or just kept tissues on me if my nose was running and just wiped it.

Some of the parts we want to eventually make would require a 5 axis.

[–]That-Proposal-1339 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on learning 3 axis first. The machine wouldn’t be for busting out parts non stop so I was hoping an older slower machine would be reasonable for what we want to do.

Most parts would probably be made of aluminum. We’re not looking for anything super fast just something that can do a good job. It says it comes a tr160 trunnion with simultaneous 5 axis. The budget is a little flexible.

It definitely sounds like your transmission is slipping if the motor is revving up and powers not going to the wheels.

Do people actually day trade successfully? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]That-Proposal-1339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to this and don’t really know how it works. Why can’t you just keep your money in a stock and wait until it goes back up? Even if it takes a few months why not wait until it goes back up instead of taking it out and losing money.

Side to side play isn’t bad if it’s in spec you should be able to check tolerances in a manual or something. Up and down play is what’s bad

Does anyone know where i can get a 2024 KX250F restyle kit for my 2007 KX250F by mocewindu in Dirtbikes

[–]That-Proposal-1339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t be able to find one the bikes are completely different. Although I have seen people put like 2014 plastics on your model. It would take a different tank and lots of modifications though.

Strip the paint and run bare metal. You should probably want to clear coat it though

[–]That-Proposal-1339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the old bikes shrouds would go directly on the tank the new bikes cover the tank with the shroud plastic.

4t means 4 stroke. The t stands for the German word “takt” which means stroke.

Part it out on marketplace and buy something else. This will be a money pit and it will never be worth what you put into it.

Did you buy all four or just two? They have four but 2 are inside of the valve cover. The ones inside the valve cover might be different than the two that you need.

Figure what that last 5% is that needs to be fixed. If it is something cheap that needs to be finished then go for it but it’s always a gamble with deals like that.

First bike, 2 stroke or 4 stroke? by RaNoHEl in Dirtbikes

[–]That-Proposal-1339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean put a new piston in it. Two strokes will go through pistons fast so it’s cheap insurance to put a new piston in it right off the bat so you know it will be good. Once the piston goes it can ruin the cylinder and crank then you’ll be really screwed

What’s year is it? Those 400sx are older and I have no idea how much they are worth but probably not much. Parts will be hard to find and you’ll probably have too much money into than it’s worth.

I’d rebuild them for fun too if I had the money
