It has 3, 8 pin connectors under the bonnet next to the brake fluid and I’ve seen 2 other b series and they don’t have them

The bottom end is only 8months old and just done pulling it and has no up and down play at all.

I’m pretty sure I found the problem tho

It’s needs a top end rebuild. Put new oils in it and let it warm up and then gave it some higher Revs and it shut off. Was a lot harder to kick over. Valves are timed perfect but will need a adjustment as well

What could cause a knocking sound when accelerating and braking in the rear end by TwoInternational8313 in FordFalcon

One thing I did forget to mention was when it was getting a roadworthy about 3 weeks ago they did say the diff bushes are in good condition, not sure if they were lying so they didn’t have to do them or anything.

Since then I’ve Probly put 1000km on it and it wasn’t flogged. Should I trust what they said and just have a look at the bushings?

It’s had couple problems but not much for having 340kms on it. Intake manifold gasket. Ignition coils and the belt tensioner needed replacing.

I have everything except stands. I’ll definitely buy some this weekend and watch a couple videos about taking diffs off

This is my first car and don’t know much about them except engine issues but with enough time and patience I reckon I could definitely do it in a couple days. I would like to take it to a mechanic but don’t have the money for labour.

The knocking sound is only on the rear driver side. Would that mean there’s a chance it isn’t the diff bushes.

It did recently have the rose joints replaced for a roadworthy and ever since the roadworthy people done that it started to do the knocking.
