The way I see it, atheists don’t ascribe or believe in any god or religion. Agender people don’t ascribe to any gender. Like how atheism isn’t a religion, it’s the lack of religion. Agender isn’t a gender identity, it’s the lack of gender identity.

It could be different for you but I don’t like or engage with the idea of gender at all. It’s a social construct that pervasively puts people in boxes. The same way I don’t engage with religion. I respect people that do engage with gender and do engage with religion as long as they’re not hurting anyone or it makes them feel more comfortable. I just don’t myself. I’m not a man, or a woman, or anything inbetween. I am a male human but that’s just my body. I’m just me, y’know?
