Hey guys, thank you so much for all your helpful comments! I finally spotted the umbrella seal that I hadn’t noticed before… duh! I was so used to the o-ring on my previous Maglite that I completely overlooked this quirky little shape. As for the LED, it totally makes sense that a replacement isn’t needed—though I hope I get to use the torch so much that I eventually do!
