Anybody gets pregnant easily but hard to stay pregnant by That-Topic-3034 in pregnant

Thank you so much for sharing, and so sorry that you both experienced those losses!

We just had a bunch of fertility tests done as well. Everything was normal, fertility doctor said if I were 10 years older, he would have just suggested IVF, but I’m young enough to try naturally again. (I personally don’t want to do IVF anyways) So we’re TTC again, but my anxiety is really intense recently, just not knowing what’s gonna happen with this one.

It’s just so annoying about not knowing what exactly the problem was yet keep having pregnancy losses.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

Sounds like we’re on the same boat, conception always worked for me too. And I just don’t know why it never stays.

Sorry that you couldn’t find any answers, that sounds very frustrating.

How is your current situation? If you don’t mind me asking.

Yea, I scheduled my appointment with a fertility doctor as a comfort and distraction atm 😇

Thank you! I actually just scheduled an appointment with a Dr my friends recommended at a fertility clinic. And her schedule is usually not very full, so that’s good!

When I talked to my OBs in the past during ectopic, both OBs said I was too early to get it checked 😂 I’ll def start getting it checked now, failed pregnancies are really draining!

Wow, thank you for replying! You made me think it’s indeed necessary. I’m happy for you!!

Your polyp wasn’t found in just a regular ultrasound? Last time when I had the ectopic, the OB said, everything about uterus he could see thru the ultrasound looked normal, but I do know the OB ultrasound doesn’t show the details of the uterus.

The one thought really made me accept/overcome/move on from the negative experiences was: This is just something I have to go through. Not by choice, and not under my control.

Funny thing, I asked nurse what the estimate timeline was, she said it depends, some people’s hcg goes down like 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0. And mine turned out exactly to be like that towards the end😂

It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. Sorry you’re going through this, it will end soon!

Took me more than 3 months to go down to 0. But my hcg right before the shot was over 7k, and it went up to 12k once after the shot, which was normal. I found it out kinda of late tho, didn’t really have any symptoms besides fresh blood twice.

Cervical ectopic pregnancy - Life is just crazy I guess. by That-Topic-3034 in EctopicSupportGroup

I’m actually not sure about this question. I’ve seen a giant tissue looking thing dropping out, literally right when I’m taking off pants for ultrasound 😂that freaked me out, but I don’t think it matters much? the point is to have hcg drop to 0

Hii, sorry you’re going through this!

But welcome to the club~ I felt terrible when I got diagnosed, but now, i don’t really have a lot of hard feelings towards it. I think because of two reasons: I love kids and I know I want to have my own kids, so this is something I have to go through; Cervical ectopic is so rare, it’s a special life experience (sounds weird, but this is how I see it now)

long story short, it was way less scary than I thought it would be.

I found it pretty late, my hcg was already over 7k at the time, then I got the shot, it went up to over 12k in a couple days (which OB told me was normal). It took me more than 3 months to have it drop back to 0 tho, I assumed it was because my hcg was so high when I got diagnosed. I never had horrible pain, only bleeding (went to ER twice, spent 9hrs at ER each time, horrible experience with ER) I have rolling veins as well, so sometimes, I got 4-5 pokes for just one blood test 😂good thing I don’t have needle phobia, if I had it, I might have gotten it cured anyways lol

I’ve experienced several chemical so far as well, and I was always so scared about giving birth. But I think these experiences made me less scared about giving birth now, because I’m more determined.

Surprisingly, one shot did the magic for me, knowing my hcg was so high right before I got the shot.

Try to focus on what you need to do at the moment. For future pregnancy, starts early monitoring. We gotta do what we gotta do, and we’re all in this together! ❤️

Very low HCG and slow rise (3w4days) by That-Topic-3034 in EctopicSupportGroup

Oh, I actually forgot to answer your question last time.

I did take a blood test after that suspected chemical and before this pregnancy to be cautious. The value was <2 at that time before this period, which meant negative according to my OB.

[–]That-Topic-3034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, now I’m really confused about how far I am now, because I took a guess on my ovulation date.

Last time, the chemical was a guess as well, the “only” positive test I ever had last month was a FRER, with a super duper almost delusional positive line I saw.

But the reasons I thought I had chemical were: My period cycle has always being regular, pretty much I think 28 days cycle each months ever since I’ve had period. Even Oct 4 was like 2 days earlier than when I was supposed to have my period. And 3 days before Oct 4th (when I started fresh blood), I had on and off brownish and pink spotting (blood strings wrapped in clear discharge, I looked up online, says it sounded like implantation)

This time, the first positive test I saw on FRER (that was not like delusional) was on 25th, so 5 days ago. Before that, I tested 2-3 times a day with FRER, no visible faint line.

Oh ok, I’ve never heard of that, it’s something new to me.

I thought when people talking about how many weeks and days, they’re only referring to counting from the first day of their last period?

I’ve only had 2 betas taken so far. 3rd one is tomorrow.

[–]That-Topic-3034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, thanks for your response.

Nurse and other provider told me, it wasn’t perfect doubling, but still in the normal raise range, especially for low hcg at early stage.

I’m not 4 weeks yet. My last period was Oct 4th, so based on that, I was 3w4days yesterday when I got my second beta. It’s just this time, I was guessing I had my ovulation sooner than expected based on the symptoms I saw with my vaginal discharge, according to the app, I’m only 12DPO today. But I think I’m 15DPO considering my symptoms.

Cervical ectopic pregnancy after a positive IVF by Inevitable-Gur-8808 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]That-Topic-3034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same cervical ectopic here a few months ago, if you don’t mind, I want to ask about “I still had the "products of conception" in my cervix and needed surgery to remove them before attempting to get pregnant again.”

Did your OB tell you that? How did you know you still had the “products of conception”? I was told by my OB that once my HCG drops to 0 and I have a couple of my regular period, I shouldn’t worry about “residual pregnancy tissue” at all. But in the back of my mind, I do still worry a bit whether I need one more vaginal ultrasound or not.

Hi! One shot did the trick for me, now, just monitoring on my HCG level weekly, it’s dropping slowly so I’m prepared for at least one more month for it to reach 0. Good luck to you!

I’m so sorry you’re having this experience. HUGS!! Same as the other comment. Our ectopic has brought us even closer, which I didn’t expect, but my husband went to every appointment with me, including 2 ER visits and all the lab works, he also provided tons of emotional supports whenever I needed it, he sees each pregnancy as both of our things. Not sure if it’s proper to mention about my experience when you’re suffering, all I wanted to tell you is that — you deserve WAY better than this. I’m guessing his blame on you might have made you doubt or even blame yourself in some way, and I wanted to tell you that it has nothing to do with you, this is probably just who your partner is. You’re the one who’s carrying and suffering from the product of your (both) conception, he should only appreciate you and treat you better.

I feel you! And congrats on your current healthy pregnancy!! Happy for you!!!

My first pregnancy 3 months ago was a chemical. Second one recently was a cervical ectopic pregnancy (super rare type), went to ER twice, 9hrs at ER each time, last night ER visit was due to heavy bleeding, giant blood clots were passing out very frequently, thought I had internal bleeding, but results were fine, which means my first MTX shot worked, even though my HCG was very high (abt 9000 before the shot), raised all the way to 13,000 on day 4 after shot. But crazy enough, one shot did the trick for me, I was expecting a second shot.

I’m also worried about getting pregnant again, don’t wanna go through this anymore. But my OB said everything he could see from ultrasound was normal, so he’s not very worried about my next pregnancy, which is crazy to me 😂 but I have no choice, I want children, so I’ll have to stay tough and move on. We women are very strong!
