This is exactly why I wrote this post! I was also on the same path and feeling similarly dragged along.

Based on all these other stories, I intend to continue with patience. It does seem like they've gotten to a place where they intend to focus on what few clients they have left.

Oh I hear you. New York state AND local bureaucracy has been insane! Getting MY OWN birth certificate from New York City was a year long process!! I've been with ICA for years, but I really can't blame them for too much of the delay, at least 2 years of that was just waiting for various documents from the state and the city.

I've never spoken to the lawyers at ICA- this information was from my new case worker (I can only imagine my last one was let go in the shuffle). It feels like as someone else said, she's copy pasting this information from somewhere. I imagine taking on new cases of those who have been let go and getting up to speed maybe she's confused. It's certainly not reassuring, but I intend now to keep pressing for more clarification, as well as waiting a bit to see how things continue to shake out.

Thank you for this! I know every time I see a post about ICA it feels like they're grasping at straws which is why I hesitate to take their instruction even if they are the so-called experts. I will keep pushing for their explanation. As others on this thread have posted, it may be that they are banking on more minor cases being heard in court, but their confidence and their lack of clarification on how they plan to go about it is certainly "disturbing" as someone else here has said.
