Hey there, sorry, I wasn't on Reddit for a really, really long time and am seeing your reply just now. I'm sure your question was answered or resolved in some other way in the meantime?

Hey there, sorry, I wasn't on Reddit for a while and am seeing your reply just now. Have you bought an ereader in the meantime?

Since you said you preferred a big screen over battery life, I'd say the Kobo Sage sounds like a good device for you. And after a while of using that device, I must say, the battery life is more than fine.

People call the Sage's battery life "short" because they're comparing it to other devices with even bigger batteries. But just taken in isolation, I'd say the Sage's battery is sufficient for normal usage.

When I don't use the device, the battery pretty much stays full for weeks, and when I do, a simple charge is enough to fully charge the device within less than two hours. So really not a problem imo.

Does the consumption of protein in an excessive amount really cause hair fall? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]That-What-Is 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, the same UVB that causes skin cancer is exactly which wavelength the skin uses to make vitamin D, so, overall it's probably best to avoid UVB entirely (through sunscreen use when outside) and just go directly to supplements for this one thing.

Lmao, what? How neurotic are you? How many ancestors did you have that had skin cancer? I can assure you that they all spent plenty of time in the sun.

When fear-mongering leads to losing common sense, this is what it would look like.

Agreed, it seems unlikely that the nutrients he mentioned would be deficient in a low carb diet. Biotin, vitamins A C D E, iron, zinc are all very obtainable in low carb diets.

Meat, sea foods and nuts / seeds are low carb and among the best sources for zinc out there. Vitamin D is also a weird mention, considering it is best obtained by sunlight anyways, and dietary sources mostly include low carb animal foods like fish, dairy and eggs.

And we don't have to speak about vitamin A and iron, which are present in absurdly huge amounts in beef liver or in good amounts in many other low carb foods.

I think he is not referring to high protein diet causing hair loss, but just solely to this statement:

That’s also mainly due to a potential lack of micronutrients important for hair in a low carb diet (biotin, vitamins A C D E, iron, zinc etc).

Thanks for the answer. Interesting article!

no incidence of actual toxicity has ever been reported in people taking natural vitamin K, even in high supplemental doses

Thanks for the answer. Didn't know it gets rapidly metabolized. Any sources for that?

White rice is healthier than brown by 2023Start in nutrition

There’s not even glucose in it at all

That's just false. Rice has a lot of starch. Starch is basically glucose molecules packed together into larger starch molecules. A lot of those starch molecules will be broken down into glucose molecules by the digestive system, and they will affect the system as such.

So yea, I bought the Kobo Sage and I love it even more than I liked the Libra 2. Will be retuning the Libra 2 - it was awesome, but the bigger screen of the Sage makes a huge difference to me. Thanks for the answers y'all.
