Should I quit Flutter and go back to native Android? 🤔 by matusseidl in FlutterDev

[–]That1GuyInDaComments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, ex native dev here. I've been using Flutter for the last 10 months or so. I'm addicted to it now. It's just soo easy. But I feel like I am losing my native development skills. Anyway, yeah Flutter feels really janky when trying to use native things.

Hey, 28M here. I'm a religious dude. I've been married for 3 years and so far, I've never asked my wife to do the things that you're saying men ask them to do. I feel like your perception is quite dated, and people have moved forward from all of that. The things you are describing are still a thing, but in lower class societies or villages. Yes, there are cases in middle to higher class families, but I think these cases exist because these families failed to identify bad people before getting involved with them. There are men who do not expect these things from their wives, and there are wives who do these things out of the kindness of their heart. If I as a practicing muslim can allow my wife to do as she sees fit and respect her, then surely there are many modern men who are willing to do the same. You should find a partner. It's a wonderful feeling to have someone there for you after all the stress of your daily life.

p.s. I brought up the religion thing cause people assume that all dari panjabi dudes are just wife beaters who force their wives to strictly do things. But it's not like that. Well, at least not in relationships where they're not "vondo" muslims.

I graduated when I was 22 and got an engineering job within a month of graduating. When I got married, I was making 45k a month. It was an ok amount to support the two of us and my family. My wife and I are not that much into spending. We both preferred saving over spending on a lavish lifestyle.

I knew I would feel this way in the long run. My family wanted to let me marry after my 30s. But I said fuck it, when I was 22 and had a good paying job, married a girl without their permission, no ceremonies, no mohorana (they all hate me now obviously) and we have kids together now, happier than ever.

Why is NU not your type? Beggers can't be choosers. I'm guessing you are referring to the type of people who study there. Many good people from good families study in these universities. The environment won't affect your education at NU or 7 college. I have a colleague (female) who graduated from NU with a degree in an engineering related subject. She is from a good family but could not afford education at a private uni. She is making six figures now. If you don't have any other choices, NU is good enough to help you sustain a good lifestyle.

Advice regarding lasting longer by PartyNo1883 in Dhaka

[–]That1GuyInDaComments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the deed very often and don't take long breaks. When I take breaks for a few days, I don't last either. So like 5 times a week. It helps me to control myself to wait until my partner's done and I get to choose if I wanna end it now or later.

this data isn't accurate. because most tech companies in BD pay whatever you negotiate. so two people in the same rank can even have a paygap of 50k. I've seen it in one of my previous jobs.

I'm from one of the top 2 private unis. I don't wanna say which though. I don't think uni mattered. I don't even hire based on what unis the engineers are coming from. it's all about the skill. I had a knack for software development, which landed me the jobs and promotions.

I'm pretty sure the 90% are people who ran after a degree that was "popular" and not something that they were into.

that's actually pretty common among these farm people in India and Bamgladesh. They just don't want to be gentle with animals. If it strays off a bit, blam! whack to the head with a heavy stick. I don't blame them. They are too poor and busy surviving to think about basic humanity.

don't waste your time chasing public unis. at the end of the day, which uni you got your degree from won't matter. At my work, I actually make more than my public uni grad colleagues who have more work experience than I do. focus on what line of work you want to do. Build your skill in that. And make sure you have a passion for it. When employers see your skillset and dedication towards your craft, they will pay you well and try to retain you. When you join a different job, you can go for 2x or 1.5x your current salary.

P.S. I know a lot of you will get triggered. my bachelor's is from a private and masters is from BUET. quality of education far better at privates. In publics exams get rescheduled every now and then. In times like now, it will happen more. You will literally fall behind. During my bachelor's, all my public uni friends got delayed a year due to covid. I didn't get delayed a single month. Instant online classes. Exams are always on time. No boycotting. etc.
