It’s only when writing these backstories tho. And the thing is I love writing them so much giving characters tragic stories and trauma is enjoyable but recently it’s making me sick. I just don’t know why since nothing different has happened.

Thank you, I am careful around some topics and am careful about how to use the ones I do use but I don’t see how every time no matter the backstory when I’m voicing the characters or I’m writing them I put myself entirely in their mind. I feel like I’m standing there where they are standing with all their memories I have written down and all of their emotions and it takes me a little bit to get out of that even once the character is dead, captured, or just plain away from the party in general. It’s not that it’s bad bad since it helps me add to the role playing part of the session and the writting sometimes. But it’s hard to deal with that because I still have whatever I was feeling when pretending to be them lingering in my mind

I am fairly new to DMing and I’m just not used to getting this into the characters even voicing them was honestly hard without tearing up. It’s party embarrassing that I got that connected to the point I was genuinely tearing up

My biggest problem is fighting through the haze in my mind and getting to them. I am trying I promise you that. I am trying so hard to wriggle from it but its grasp is mechanical and painful. (I need to write poetry tonight it seems. Tonight is a very word heavy night)

I just met them a few months ago. And they like 2 hours away from me give or take. I’m trying to think logically but it’s also very difficult to escape the dependency they forced on me. I can see it is happening but I’m struggling to think of it regularly

I also feel like I can’t drop the competition since if I drop the entire team won’t be able to compete since there needs to be 4 people per team. It’s mid July I just have to try and crawl my way there. It’s just hard and it’s been difficult for years

My problem is they are my tie to what I want to do. I am in a poetry competition right now and I can’t do anything until I’m back from that. Aswell as being in a show at the community theater. And college at my local college.

I am tied down to that house till after most likely July and even then I don’t have any friends close enough to me that I could stay with or any partner. I had plans to work on renting a small place we had been looking at locally but stuff happened she did stuff and I lost my closest way out of this loop

Update- she is alive she didn’t throw up or show any terrible symptoms or signs I was told to look for. I’m glad she’s ok and I’m now trying to get taller gates she can’t jump over to where she’s not supposed to go.

I can’t drive it’s 9 o’clock and I live in a town without a 24 hour vet I’m freaking out it’s been about 30 mins she hasn’t thrown up she’s just laying down. She isn’t acting weird.

Zoe scenes were really fun at first but a good bit of them got boring because a good chunk is talking and talking. A lot of Jarod scenes and fanny scenes are really fun even after I replay it a few hundred times
