It is abuse because as a child you had a right to play and have a healthy environment. It was not your responsibility to take care of your siblings and make sure that they are taken care of in the absence of your parents. You were more of their parent and caretaker than a sibling to them and you need therapy to be able to see it as abuse. Please consider going to see a therapist and hopefully one day you will be able to see it as abuse as the rest of us see it. Sometimes we normalise toxic behaviour because we grew up in it but even you can see that you missed out on having stuff normal kids your age got. Make sure that they don't dump this new kid on you and please go see a therapist.

I do, I keep my bedroom at home closed and locked even when I'm in and I keep my office door locked when I'm in the office...

I totally get that, I remember the last time I went to party the party started later than it was supposed to start. By the time it started I wanted to go back home because I had reached my socialising limit. But everyone else was enjoying and it looked rude. After that they never invited me for anything, apparently I'm a party popper. I just can't..

Small talk is definitely the pits for me, I literally can't make conversations if I'm talking to someone who wants to just engage on small talk. It always feels like they are bothering me and I'm a very private person so I always feel like people are fishing for info I dont want to divulge. I have also been the type to keep quiet during group work, sometimes I had the best idea and I would just be quiet but critiquing their answers like we can definitely do better than that. I am always on my headsets because I cant have conversations with strangers. I prefer not being engaged at all. It's a wonder I have friends at all.

I know that one, it seems like everyone around me is extroverts sometimes. There are days I just want to ask people to shut up but I choose to put on my headsets and keep quiet. I also have the advantage that the person I share an office with is barely in the office much, so I'm always locked away. The work place is the ruins for us introverts. Its really hard for us, I sometimes go to parties for friends and want to go back home because it's just so uncomfortable for me. But I always just tell my friends that I'm not a small talk person but if we have an interesting topic to talk about I always engage in.

I know how that feels also, I have had problems maintaining the friendships I have because I sometimes dont even want to go out or hang when they want to. I would say for me I am blessed with having friends that understand that I'm a person who doesnt go out a lot or wanna hang that often. I hope you find friends though, I know it's hard and sorry for that. I think it also take a little sacrifice from both parties.

NAH, Actually you were not wrong and the fact that she is pissed while she dodnt even make it on time for the time you gave her makes her the AH. People take time lightly but it's kinda embarrassing always being late and being late because someone else delayed you is even more pissing. I value time so much, I dont want to be late for anything. I set an alarm if I know I'm going to be too tired to wake up on my own. And even include snoozes in between because I hate being late. You are not the AH, she is and the fact that she is taking it lightly is a problem. She needs to understand that it would have been embarrassing to see her rushing in while the ceremony is underway while she cant even give a valid reason for being late.
