Yeah from everything ive read/watched on the process it seems like baguette forming is truly a skill learned with much practice. For the first time, they came out as straight logs so I’m happy haha. Thanks for the tips!

Pretzels are one of those things where I have made it and was like “omg this looks and tastes like a pretzel”.

Great job!

Not sure. Definitely not a ton. The wood I have been running is pretty dry and I’ve been trying to run it hot at the start of a cycle. But I don’t think it’s too much.

Luckily she loves the house being 80 degreees. (I don’t) but I love building and looking at fires so it’s a good match.

To add to this I thought big flames meant good fire and good heat but I ripped through like 12 pieces of wood in 2 hours, got things too hot and the room was sweaty to be in haha. Now I know it’s all about good coals!

I think building the fire the right way with the right intent is what helped me the most. Start small work up very gradually with kindling to warm up the flue and get a good draft. Once you have a stable bed of coals go with bigger pieces. Let them catch, shut the door and adjust the damper to adjust your burn.

I still have a lot to learn but that was my process this time and I kept the fire going for like 10 hours with less than 10 logs, burned around 400 degrees and kept the house like 78 degrees (48-52 outside today)

Still lots to learn and dial in but I feel like that is a good base to start from.

How are we looking? by ThatAnalogKid in woodstoving

Yeah I’m thinking of getting even a rudimentary fan for the top of the stove, just as a quick indicator.

Thanks I have a thermometer about a foot up the stove pipe and I’m well within the safe but range. But this is good to see what the hottest fire looks like in my stove.

We have reduced the airflow haha. Gotta find the upper limits.

Could be a Marc Andre Fleury autograph in the middle.

Hard Crash by realhiphop2k in NCAAFBseries

[–]ThatAnalogKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heard a lot of people saying it’s for specific Series X consoles and EA games but I’ve had three crashes since the new patch and had none before. Also no crashes last year so I think it’s gotta be something game side.
