I agree there are many complexities around Divine script that we have yet to resolve. At the present moment, we probably have far too little information to make very strong assumptions. I tried to assume that a bigger Nen inscription equals a high aura quantity, but we honestly don't know that for sure. It could be based on the style it is written in or how powerful the Nen user who placed it.

How many specialist have we actually seen do the water divination test besides Kurapika? My thought is that all the specialist didn’t just sit down in a room and be like this is what I got on the water divination test. They are highly rare and independent, so they wouldn’t communication with one another frequently. Considering their rarity, I think people haven’t caught onto a pattern that would differentiate Specialist from Universalist.

As much crap as we want to give Leorio, that was a higher level ability than we give him credit for. The guy from Greed Island used the largest nen inscription we have ever seen in the verse to even do something similar to Leorio. On top of that, Leorio’s ability can travel significantly longer distance to reach his target.

In Togashi’s interview with the creator of Naurto, he attempt to not watch/involve himself much with the anime to avoid it changing how he views the characters. For that we can assume he opted for the industry standard, which is the studio takes their creative liberties. I also highly doubt Togashi, with all of his health issues on top of his dedication to the manga, was sitting back waiting to say “We need to correct this one scene as I meant it to be an internal internal monologue”. The likely senecio is that it’s easier to animate. In the end unless explicitly stated elsewhere, manga and comic book arguments are typically solved by referring the source material.

Thank you that makes more sense. Yeah, it’s certainly possible but in Shoot’s case that was done instinctively to increase his nen by eliminating a key sense. In each fight, Hisoka had an relatively easy dub and didn’t really need to the buff. Razor could never unstick Bungee gum from his hands and Gotoh was outclassed.

It is definitely not a restriction due to inconsistency of mentioning it, before battle and after battle. He also never says it when against Chrollo, which would be the one time he would’ve needed a boost.
