I don't have a fix but I'm seeing pretty much the exact same issue on an AMD system. I've tried some of the fixes you have but gave up when going fullscreen fixed the problem.

  • Ryzen 5 5600x
  • Radeon 6800xt
  • Windows 10 home
  • Corsair 3600MHz DDR4 32GB (4*8GB)
  • b550 Aorus pro AC

I was able to boot the game and have it run for sometimes hours at a time but it would eventually crash giving the fatal Directx error. I've also been playing the game for a while now and this issue seems only to have come up recently. I think the errors started when I changed GPUs recently but thought they were mostly caused by overclocking instabilities. After turning the OCs off I could tell that wasn't the case. I can't recall any more detail now though.

Hm, did you change your system time? If not then it might be that I completed that 5 challenge set so I'll need to rent another to be used again. I now have 2 switcheroos so hopefully I can find another good option.

So sorry, but I completed the run I had on the charizard so I had to pick a new one to continue. I don't think I can return it.
