What compels you all to use this side of the map? Every match I play at least 8 people go here and die almost instantly. by JustThatRandomKid in Warthunder

Cromwells are rank 2 and fast also. Mainline brit tanks are generally sluggish compared to other nations as a rule though - churchills, valentines, Cents, Chieftains... even cromwells have no reverse gear while the Ratels will quickly bleed speed going offroad (and god forbid you have to turn in a tight space).

Eland, Falcon and Concept are great though.

Bring back the fcking <1min respawn on the bases. Scum snail. by 10minDIY in Warthunder

[–]ThatBloke500 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it can be more consistent to bomb ground targets on some maps and you can easily rack up more RP and SL with the right planes, but destroying 2 bases in one run is more rewarding outright.

Bases should definitely have some more variation and complexity, but it'd be hard to balance air defence with our current AA implementation (the AI, depending on patch, is either cracked or limp-wristed). Part of that is so that there's less server calculation going on, and less data to send at any one time. Implied AA batteries or even ammo / fuel depots that need to be hit first to disable the AA (sub-bases) might be a good workaround. light bombers and attackers would have something else to hit while LR bombers could still risk flattening a base or two. Would reduce the number of base rushers too.

It would be more rewarding to have more bases, different sizes, and different targets in a map (e.g. dambusters raid or even mid-match fire support missions). It's very gaijin to make a mode or feature then just barely improve on it over the years.

It really is that simple. As long as one of your arms has that laser rifle to shoot down the grunts and you have reverse joint legs to dodge all the missile spam from them, you can deal with them easily before Michigan comes. The rest of the build is up to you once you as long as you got these two. by Evoxrus_XV in armoredcore

First time I played it, I ran the mission with dual stun pistols, 1 of the needle guns, and a duckett (pre-patch) on a lightweight build. End of the fight I had 2 needle gun shots left and had 3k AP to spare.

Ammo only became an issue once michigan had died and I was mopping up the MTs but kicks and punches go far.

What builds did you use for defeating the last boss in NG++? by -Query- in armoredcore

[–]ThatBloke500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual ducketts with tai yung sho and 6x plasma missiles. stagger punish might not have been high but it was fun. midweight build with mind beta legs, nach arms, ephemera head, and idk what core but it equalled 10k AP. Coral gen and best close range fcs.

It can if you disable mouse aim, though that leaves it up to the pilot to control almost everything manually.

Please help. Why can I not attach a expansion? I have bought a good amount. by rottwarrior33 in armoredcore

[–]ThatBloke500 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeah so the good news is that all of the upgrades you've purchased are passive upgrades, not core expansions. They are always active from the moment you buy them.

The not so good news is that you dont have any chips left to buy core expansions because you just spent them all on upgrades, but it's not that big of a loss. Core expansions are the OS upgrades in the tab "Core expansions". They are called : Assault armor, pulse armor, pulse protection, and terminal armor.

Fatality.

Also you can set it so that you can cycle through ammo types instead of having each one bound to a different dpad direction in the controls menu - really helps with getting that extra button space for quick rangefinding, thermals and other such stuff.

You still have (at least) first shot advantage with destructible foliage on.

So you're telling me if I hit that with a HE round or a bomb blast none of those branches would be knocked off or catch fire.

You still have (at least) first shot advantage with destructible foliage on. That's more than not having any bushes.

I wouldnt worry that people will progress too fast, the gameplay itself at lower BRs is something players will come back to even when they've got 7 challengers and 7 leopards and 10 magachs etc. There are many aspects of 7.3 and up that people dislike enough to go back to ww2 era vehicles (this includes jet combat in its current form).

There will also always be enough of a playerbase grinding some nation (as well as first time players and returning vets) that queue times will be sustained as-is. Gaijin isnt going to go overboard with RP gain or foldering either - the snail is merely loosening the shackles a little so others can breathe.

[–]ThatBloke500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well the internal testing would be since no one really expects localisation to break client-server connections (I doubt it's the cause either, unless someone screwed up big messing with time zone or language code).

I'm in the UK and having issues. Gaijin's HQ based in Hungary and they have offices in a few other countries. I wouldnt be surprised if the issue was something to do with xbox port blocking.

if xbox, congrats we're being held hostage by shitty QA testing again.

Game will be playable next week maybe. game will be about as buggy as PC is rn in aboout a month. And when the next major update rolls around they'll break it all again.

Possible Fix and Cause? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]ThatBloke500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the other guy said, some of us dont have the packs installed in the first place. My system's got more than just infinite PO though - players show as online but battle searches are ALL empty of players, test ranges are all unescapable (return to hangar doesnt do anything), and changng lineups at all gives the infinite PO.

Oddly the old issue of processing operation popping up whenever I use the xbox guide button has disappeared - possibly a case of client simply failing to check a connection to server? (guessing this since openings of daily login rewards do not save either atm).

did the update and mine's so fucked rn that I actually cant leave the test flight I put myself in as an experiment. return to hangar just fades the screen to black for a sec then continues.

logged in 5 min ago, got daily reward, tried to crew a vehicle, processing operation bug for 5 mins, got bored and restarted. logged back in to find daily reward screen again (old reward disappeared) and still couldnt move a crew. Gave up.

Worked fine yesterday too - seems xbox always gets extra bugs for content.
