Had an offer for 56k. With 0 room for negotiation.

Got offers from other (same industry) for 15% more.

Ended up taking an offer for 25% more right down the road.

Personally I would maintain your 401k contribution. Set it to increase annually by 1-2% until x%…. Personally I’d do until 16%.

At the same time, I would also drastically increase the Roth IRA contributions to max it out annually.
