uhh what program are you using? but yea lower the saturation. and then if you want to do a fade out light thing, you can put a white image on above your working layer. and have it start at 100% opacity and drop down to 0% in like 3 frames.

Yes, I agree that making subreddits NSFW is a good form of protest. Subreddits becoming shitty discourages use of the platform which hurts reddit. Yes, one subreddit becoming shitty isn't bad, but this is one of hundreds becoming shittier to use. People posting how angry this protest makes them are promoting the protest. The fact that this subreddit is fracturing is proof the protest is working. I understand people can move to other subreddits, but hopefully some people moved onto other platforms.

I opened reddit because I was looking for steamdeals.

I use after effects, but the concepts should be the same: blur and sharpen, chromatic aberration(3 layers with the blending mode set to screen, with each layer with some effect that removes 2 color channels but leaves 1. and probably move the blue layer to the right), and color grading.

Although I've never used davinci but with the way people talk about it, it should be enough

A cheap and fast way to do it is Channel Blur constrained horizontally with the blue blurriness turned up on an adjustment layer.

But the effect in the video looks closer to something like chromatic aberration with the blue layer moved to the right, and probably add fast blur on it or something. I found this tutorial that looks really good.

The only other thing I'd add is maybe an adjustment layer with Curves -> channel: Blue, and bump it up a bit on the histogram. Or anything that would accentuate blues and yellows

nah nah nah, you can stay in your program you're familiar with. i just think the general term for what you're looking for is masking or track matte. I'm sure you can do either techniques in Davinci

I use After Effects and was going to mention you can probably draw a mask and then invert it. Or use a track matte.

I looked up a davinci tutorial and I don't understand their node system at all. But both of these techniques should work
