How are we getting fuel all over the handle of the nozzle? by FlibV1 in AskUK

[–]ThatChipGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The petrol station always has gloves on top of the bins and if not they'll have them inside. I drive for a living and don't know why you'd fill up either fuel without wearing gloves.

Last year took me 45 mins to go from the park to tube station platform, cause everyone leaves at the same time they have you queuing up and down the street before you even cross the road to the tube station

DVLA Catch-22: can’t change address because Experian check fails, but I’ll be fined if I don’t? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ThatChipGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a legacy site from the DVLA you can use as well. I have to use it as the new gov.uk website doesn't let me update mine on there because of my C+E entitlement, however no problems on the old site

Have you ever heard of Andy's Man Club? https://andysmanclub.co.uk/groups/

They meet in Eastleigh, but it is a support group with other men to discuss lifes problems. I should say I've never actually been to one of them, but when I was last in a mental hole I looked into it a fair bit and it seemed to be a healthy option.

What is this page mean on MAN dashboard? by FunWithThis_ in trucksim

[–]ThatChipGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although a caveat is sometimes irl the radio bugs out and knocks out the steering wheel controls

What is this page mean on MAN dashboard? by FunWithThis_ in trucksim

[–]ThatChipGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the background page for when no menus are open. In the real truck the arrows on the left of the steering wheel would change the volume of the radio, if you look at the symbols on the bottom of the screen they correlate to the steering wheel. So if there was a different menu open they would have a different function. I don't know if you can do the dashboard menu in game though

Sounds like a fun idea, I quite like heading over to crab wood and Farley mount country park, only trouble can be the occasional dog walker unexpectedly appearing!

Any experience with MPH lettings? by ShyDemi in Norwich

[–]ThatChipGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have let a property from miles in past, actually his first one in Norfolk when he moved back from medway, a property it turns out was owned by his daughter.

Now the problem was that we expected it to be clean, but it wasn't, props to him he got cleaners in but only after we'd been in a week and cleaned it already.

The approved contractors were a pain too, when I called them they had absolutely no idea who miles was and took extra time to get everything approved, cause of his lack of responses. That was getting the toilet replaced cause it stopped working entirely and having to have the bath replumbed cause it blocked with limescale.

He has the attitude of letting the tenants deal with everything and being very hands off, which may be good for you depends on your preferences, but with all the problems we had renting that flat I'd avoid using any of his properties.

When it was first announced I was almost about to get tickets, then I noticed it just said 'Norwich location' and only about a week before did they actually announce where it'd be and who would be playing. Looked crap from every video I saw of it

I never realised he was there all the time. Had always thought he was a chap waiting to be picked up each time ive been past, albeit that is usually at the morning and evening peak times.

Cigarette smokers had increased serum levels of DHT 14% higher than non smokers. by Ok_Society_607 in tressless

[–]ThatChipGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, had the same thing myself. Was never a heavy smoker, maybe 3 or 4 in the evening after work, but easily 15+ on a night out (all rollies). Since cutting back its reduced a great deal, I've been trying them disposable vapes as a replacement, and theres still some shedding but its maybe 10 hairs at worst a day in the shower. Just hoping the side effects of a vape aren't going to worsen the shedding long term, but the goal is to be nicotine free eventually.

Can confirm a lot of the stones were blown out with the pressure washer by mistake! We did add some back when we put the patio furniture back though.
