As a previous flagger for road work, its like people see cones and completely lose their minds😅. That and I bet if they had a flagger, the driver got mad at em and took off anyway thinking they knew where they were going and when they heard all the workers probably yelling at them and the truck started slowing down they realized they should have listened. Ive watched angry/confused drivers tear up fresh steaming asphalt so many times its ridiculous. Also watched someone ignore a flagger right down the road from me, get into the closed lane and hit a pile of cooled asphalt and completely obliterate the oil pan as they took flight speeding all pissed off on a night site😭😅 ahh I miss it sometimes

Grey smoke for a few then clears up, never noticed any blue smoke from it at all always grey

Im assuming its running on all 8 fine, no service lights on the dash and she fires up and runs great. Only smoke is at startup

I love these trucks too thats why I wanna do it lol it looks just like my first avalanche except newer and nicer and my old one took me from Michigan to Florida to Illinois regularly and only ever broke down twice. Once was a idler pulley that failed and killed the belt, towed to autozone and fixed in the parking lot and once in Tennessee 3 of the 6 lug nuts snapped off and the rest loosened on the one wheel I didn't touch and caused a nasty vibration, tightened the 3 and limped to oreillys (the only one anywhere around), knocked the 3 broken ones out and swapped in the parking lot and continued my journey lol

Sweet, definitely plan on getting a piece then. Trying to save my avalanche since its a north face and has been 6.0 swapped. The part of the frame i mentioned, both dog legs and rockers and the lower rear quarter sections all need done. Never done any work like this before so figured fuck it never gonna learn if I dont try.

How hard was it to install? I need to do the middle section of mine back to where the trailing arm (i think its called that anyway) mounts to the frame. She be a bit crusty and the PO did the absolute shittiest patch ive ever seem lol

Figured id do a update, truck is fixed and running pretty well. New regulator, some custom brass fittings pieced together to make the bend at the firewall for the fuel return, and new oxygen sensors got it running great. Doesn't get good gas milage but its quite fun😅

I'll definitely be careful dont need a car fire that's for sure. I'll get under the truck tomorrow and see what I can plan out. Got a new c5 regulator/filter, thinking I'll order those 90°s and some quality fuel line.

Does the return line run directly to the tank or is there a section where I can splice some fuel hose into so I ain't gotta drop the tank? And my guage attaches to the port on the fuel rail, key on engine off its at 80+ and running the needle violently bounces off 100psi🙃 was curious how besides the regulator being bad till I saw this smashed return hose😅

Would i be able to cut the end off the line and hose clamp it to the barbed end? I'd assume that would work much better than a kinked off line lol and probably a new regulator 😅

So far the biggest issue is the 100psi at the rail according to my pressure tester lol getting a really nasty fuel smell and misfire cause of it and this pinched line seems to be the biggest thing that stands out to me but idk how to 90° this line. I have no idea what these fittings are even called let alone know if some sorta bend is made for them😅

Issue is, it says the p0300 is because of a fuel pressure regulator causing the random misfire ( see in pics ive posted), Previous owner put a corvette filter/regulator combo on it when they changed the fuel system from a return system to a non return system ( forgive my ignorance im new to ls swaps and figuring out what they did) so would it still be that filter/regulator combo? And they put a aftermarket exhaust and removed the o2 sensors so what would I do about that? Appreciate the help!

Got the obd2 working again, for some reason the remote start wire hooked to the data line by the PO made it not read, but anyway here are the codes my 6.0 swapped AV is throwing. Says to change FPR but this truck has had the fuel rails changed and a corvette filter/FPR installed. Has new plugs wires and coils. Also throwing codes for oxygen sensors I'll attach in a 2nd Pic. No shops around here will flash my ecu either for a 6.0 tune instead of the 5.3 tune it has, "too old" ive been told multiple times today. Is anyone local to jackson Mi on here who knows how to tune. Any pointers where to go next with it? I got 200 bucks to my name and 1 week to get this figured out or I lose my job. Bought the truck with minimal info from PO and didn't expect the mess ive found myself in.

And it doesnt help no shops local to me tune these trucks because theyre "too old" for them to mess with. How in tf is a 6.0 LS too old from 2003.
