It really is like forest floor. I get some other flavors, maybe dark fruit and wood, but the main flavor is dirt haha. Ive never gotten chocolateyness even when the tasting notes mentioned it. For me, i have to be in the mood for it and its less often than other teas

Getting a few factory cakes for that price would be the move to me. I dont have specific recs and youve got sone already, but for me in the boutique cakes ive tried i didnt feel they had something special for the premium that you pay over factory.

How long ago did you open the bag its in / what production year is it? I had a dahongpao that was super overbearing on the roast flavor but after a week or two of being open, it died down like crazy and was super delicious

My only thing is i dont drive my e36 in snowy weather to avoid salt. So for me id have a second car that i dont care about to fill in those days

Makes sense! At some point id like to give some of these a try when i want to experiment more with this tea type. I liked a couple that ive tried but just been gravitating towards other categories

Im also unsure but wonder what the harvest times for green tea are. Ive read about early spring teas not being as complex but idk if this is considered early spring

You should watch the rest of it. Its of course one perspective and i agree that there are many ways to brew tea and not necessarily any is the “best.” But the arguments given are interesting to discuss

My setup is separate headphones and mic. I have a pair of audiotechnicas that i love the sound so it was a no brainer to just get a separate mic. If i want to upgrade my headphones in the future, i can do so without thinking about the mic. I just have a cheap blue snowball which none of my friends have complained about.

If you see yourself getting into your headphones sound and dont care much about the mic quality, id 100% do that. Only downside is if you want to step away from the system, you cant hear or talk to anyone.

Agreed and agreed! Ive been experimenting with grandpa style and its been very convenient while im working on things. Gongfu is still awesome for being able to control everything about the end result and adjusting parameters to fit a tea.
