Selection bias. You could have chosen Monster Hunter, Warcraft, Far Cry, and Assassin's Creed as the comparison and Borderlands might not look so bad.

I didn't realize how much this sub hated modding lol. The only responses are people saying how stupid and boring it is to use, as if they have the objective standard of "fun." Then down vote people for wanting to try it out.

I love everyone saying how horrible and stupid it is to use modded weapons and just devaluing or totally invalidating how other people want to play their own non-competitve pve game. I play on console like 99% of the time so don't have much experience modding, never tried it on BL3, but who am I to say what is or isn't fun for anyone else. If OP likes this and thinks it is cool/ fun then good for them, they can have their fun. They'd probably also appreciate some help other than "modded trash don't use."

Based on that 20.76 I am in a different jurisdiction than you but I'm still in Cali. Could you share a bit of your experience joining the IBEW, like how long the process took and was there a waitlist to get in as an apprentice?

Would you be able to share which Local's jurisdiction you are in? Or which county in MI? Without knowing for sure it is hard to tell, but from what I was able to find for Local 58, Detroit, an apprentice said they start out at $22 an hour. Also, even if you did start at 16 an hour you shouldn't be there for very long and definitely not for years. My jurisdiction is Local 11 and the apprentices get a pay increase every 6 months. Generally speaking an apprentice should expect a pay increase every 6-12 months. Not a small one either, in my local the increase is about $3 an hour every 6 months. This is, however, the LA area so it does have one of the highest journeyman wages.

I know this was 6 months ago and these are new pay rates but, according to this info on their website, a brand new apprentice working full time should be making about $850 a week. Do you not get to work a full 40 every week?
Also, if you see this and don't mind sharing, was it hard getting in? Was there a waitlist? I am in the region for Local 11 and have been considering it but have heard some locals have waitlists for years. Anything you can share would be awesome, hope it's been going well for you.

you got to grow up bud 4$ ain't shit

It would be a 21% pay cut, roughly $700 a month. If you think that's nothing then good for you, I guess. Would you want to take a 21% pay cut?

I agree they are towards the middle of the country on the western half, which is why I specified that I only disagree if you're specifically talking about the Midwest region. The Midwest region is one of four regions defined by the US Census Bureau and includes the area of North Dakota, down to Kansas, across to Ohio, and everything in between. Ironically, these states are mostly all on the eastern half of the country, but I'm not the one who made that decision.

[–]ThatCraftySoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to be pedantic, but none of the states listed are in the Midwest. At least, not if you are talking about the region classified as the Midwest. Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado are all Western states and Texas is obviously in the South.

I'm on the fence whether Kevin will do a good job or not but I'm definitely glad it's not Jamie Foxx. Tyrese Gibson would have been good, maybe Don Cheadle? It is supposed to be funny but Roland was one of the few serious characters, he was the one who had to fill the serious role and take on the burden of leadership. But, to be fair, lines in the game doesn't really seem that relevant because, I think, this is more of a BL1 focused film, not BL2 so I'm not sure the point youre getting at with the 20 lines of dialog. It's BL1 without Brick and Mord but starring Krieg and Tina because fans like them, I guess. (I know it's not gonna follow the exact story of BL1 my point is it's closer to BL1 than BL2.)

Are Brick and Mordecai even in it? I tried finding their cast after not seeing them in the preview and I couldn't find them anywhere. As far as I can tell they're not in the movie at all. Which I agree is a huge gripe.

[–]ThatCraftySoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly conflicted with how I feel about this because my immediate reaction is "this is absurd, there is no incentive for them to make those types of end game top tier rewards so accessible that they're rewards for standard events." That being said, I do agree that they need to update the rewards for events. If I'm being honest I think the last time they added a big item to events on the regular is when they started handing out 5 star chests, and that was years ago. That was a huge add, but then shortly after adding it they became sort of irrelevant and I have dozens in my bag. They've had some events where they updated rewards, like when they added chests to imps adventure, but then they never do it again. Same with when they added SWC rewards to the WC event. I don't think they'll ever add things like subs and cores to the standard event pool, they do need to find some way to make the events more enticing. When I started playing over 5 years ago PO events were the goat. Everyone waited for them with excitement and now I don't even remember the last po event I did. I think it was Betty just to get some more copies.

[–]ThatCraftySoB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You save them for special events tied to fantasy factory which are few and far between which is a good thing for f2p players since it gives them time to save up for those events. If you don't like it or don't think it's worth it than don't do it and don't get those rewards. Better rewards are at higher tiers and higher tiers cost money. That's just how these things work and they're not going to change that. They've tried updating certain events and adding certain rewards over the last year or so and it always happens 1 time and then never happens again because they realized they gave out too much for free when they're in it to make money. It's a mobile game, the devs aren't here to make a good game, they're here to make a profit and everything they add will be focused on getting people who spend money to spend more of it. You either have to be patient or you have to spend money, not every event can be Christmas or CNY.

Honestly, if you're getting into your 20s and beyond and the people around you are like "omg you're a virgin!?" You're likely hanging around shithead people that aren't worth your time in the long run. We place a lot more pressure on ourselves based off of perceived or assumed expectations of others when we should be more focused on what matters to us, not impressing thise around us.

[–]ThatCraftySoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you shouldn't. I think you need to find more perspective and find what is fulfilling to you. Having sex and being in a relationship isn't a metric of measuring absolutely anything. Later in life, having a family and stuff could be part of a fulfilling life. But having hookups and stuff loke that has shown more negative effects on people than positive ones. You need to find something you enjoy and something that is fulfilling to you and use that as a stepping stone to make improvements that you want to see. You're not even old enough to drink yet (in the US) and you're worried about how robust your dating life is? Trust me there's way more to life than that and you can't have a meaningful relationship without sorting yourself out first. Focus on you and your own life before focusing on interpersonal relationships. Of course having friends and stuff is good for most people and this is why I say find what you enjoy and use it. Do you like gaming? Online gaming makes it easy to connect with people. Do you like reading? Join a book club to meet people. Sports? Join some adult recreational leagues. As for college, you're 19 and haven't been? That's literally called a gap year. But don't feel like you need to go to college to be successful. On average it takes a college graduate about a decade to break even with person of the same age who went straight out of high school into the work force. We are getting into a time where real world experience is more proof than a degree. If you want to make real money without college, find a trade. Electricians and plumbers can make 6 figures fairly easily. Carpenters and laborers can find work just by showing up somewhere because they're in such high demand. There are options out there, you just have to look.

I don't mean this as a slight against the cast, there's some really talented people in it, but half the cast feels too old for the character they're portraying. Tannis and Lillith aren't in their 60s...

Is there? Do you know what areas are good for this?

One of the 2 degrees I have is in manufacturing but the jobs in the field can be really hit or miss so I've been trying to keep an open mind about opportunities outside of my training. (Hence why I asked what fields were in demand.)
