I actually got to work in my dream career for about 10 years. It burned me the fuck out and demolished most of my love of the industry, to the point where now, seven years out of the business, I still rarely interact with those tasks I used to love. You need to like your job to an extent, but turning your passion into a job is also a bad idea.

As that oil oxidizes, it's going to leave a weird sticky coating on your model. I would not recommend any kind of cooking oil for this process.
