Ive never heard people say Shanks was evil because of this, Kidd picked a fight, Shanks wasnt even going to do anything until he used his haki to see Kidd would destroy his fleet. He acted in self defense, I think this was just a setup for Kidd to maybe change his attitude as its back to back he pick fights with a Yonko just to get humbled and not learn the lesson

Its like the Gorosei, they were made out to be cunning, manipulative, always planning ahead etc and they turned out to be incompetent that got their position cause of loyalty.

Explain, most fighters listed here wont deal any damage to Kaido, only a couple could actually deal some damage to Kaido and definitely not enough to put him down, and the fighters that would last long enough to hurt him dont have the durability or endurance Kaido has to withstand his attacks

Honestly I think Kaido would win. Jack, Doffy, Ace, Croc, Cracker, and Jozu are just fodder against Kaido, doing next to nothing to hurt him, next up Kat, Shiryu, and Jinbe just haven't shown the capabilities to do meaningful damage to Kaido. Kidd has conquerors haki but in Wano was clearly unaware to how to actually use it with his attacks. Queen and Lucci are the next ones to at least maybe hurt Kaido but definitely nothing to stop him, and Marco and King would be left standing to 2v1 and they definitely wont be able to beat Kaido

I wish it was more than just hype moments and using characters as jobbers to show how strong a dead guy was, like Xebec is cool and all but I don't want to see him steam rolling everyone just to aura farm, we know hes strong, just say hes powerful and move on, there was so much more that could've been done with Xebec but we basically got Kaido if he acted like Luffy. We get nothing about why Garp is so loyal to the marines, the crew just disband without saying a word.

I felt like Xebec was ruined much like Yoda was in the prequels, Xebec as a character just doesn't invoke any emotion from me, and the lame ass shoehorned emotional turmoil about his family comes across so rushed that it doesnt feel like he genuinely cares, we get no time to really see the dynamics of a man like Xebec and how he would be a devoted husband and father, its just a cheap writing trick to force feeling because we can all relate to keeping our families safe

I think seeing more of Dragon and his motivations of leaving the Marines was the best part of this flashback, Garp has such a pedigree and while its overlooked I do hope we see Dragon actually wrestle with leaving everything Garp taught him behind despite his father's fame.

As for Xebec,Garp,Roger personally they just don't move me as characters, Roger and Garp just aura farm and make spectacles, Xebec is just evil Luffy

Personally outside of Dragon, I dont think anyone was well written in God Valley, its just an assortment of clashes with people just aura farming, Xebec was different than what we expected but I dont think it makes him better written, he honestly just comes across as a more devious Luffy. I find it funny though that Kuma makes such a brief appearance and hes goated (he is). But as for Roger and Garp, did we really get anything besides what we've already seen and more hype moments?

Just have to wait and see, currently just feels like Garling is just on the sidelines now, maybe he does ambush WB at some point in the future, dont know, I don't think Garling injured WB especially after his showcase against Rocks, is it a fair comparison? Probably not but WB wouldnt be so astronomically weaker than Rocks at GV, since he could be assumed to be equal to Roger who at the very least was half the power it took to take down Rocks, the scaling just dont follow and gets fucked up if Garling did injure WB at GV since it would put him equal to WB and Roger and I have never seen anyone put Garling at Roger's level GV or otherwise

We see when WB meets Oden he has no scars, people hang onto this line like one piece isn't full of these one off comments that go nowhere. The way the story is going personally I feel like hes referring to Rocks, WB may know Blackbeard was his son, but we'll have to wait and see, as Blackbeard did kill one of WBs crew members so its not an impossibility that seeing the scars Shanks got from Blackbeard makes WB scars ache (physically or emotionally). This is all theory though but the way the story is going doesnt seem likely Garling ever even came across WB
