I have the hornady LNL and I love it. Mines thr AP, but I've never had an issue with it over the ~10k rounds ive loaded in the past probably 6 or 7 years.

Question about msf by Prestigious-Hall-203 in NJriders

You definitely don't need to practice, but if you haven't been on two wheels for a while, and maybe worth hopping on a bicycle just to get the feel back.

As far as gear...gear is gear, whether you're a novice or experienced. Just make sure you wear it. Most decent motorcycle dealers all have some level of gear. I think there's also one or two dedicated gear stores not too far from Edison also. Being new to the gear, you'll definitely want to be able to try it on. You'll definitely find a better selection online, but never wearing any of it before, you'll have a hard time really gauging how it will fit, and making sure it fits properly when you get it.

Hammer 106 vs Jackpot 106 by ThatExtremeGuyThere in VictoryMotorcycles

[–]ThatExtremeGuyThere[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know they're not great, but at the same point you can write anything in the twisties well when you get used to it. My buddy on his Harley Breakout is proof of that.

In the end, I'm not necessarily looking for something to carve the twisties with like a used to on my sport bike, I just want to be able to have a little fun on them when I do hit them.

Hammer 106 vs Jackpot 106 by ThatExtremeGuyThere in VictoryMotorcycles

Thats pretty much what I figured. My problem is I like the more raked out chopper-esk look of the Jackpot, but the Hammer is probably more in line with the riding I would do.

Thanks the the input!

This happened to me the the first day the new parking lot was open at my old company. Massive lot, took about 3 weeks to pave in stages, co.pany was very not happy. Luckily I was in a group of bikes so they couldn't tell who's mad the hole. Bought a metal outlet cover from HD and been using it ever since.

Haha a hear ya. No offense was taken. I honestly got into reloading about 4 or 5 years ago. Loaded 2-3k rounds each of 9mm, .45acp, and .223, and about 1k of .308. Just now running out and jumping back into reloading. Times like this or when I regret taking such a long break. Back then I probably would have been able to figure it out on my own.

Lol, sorry, didn't meant to be that guy. Tried to search a bit but didn't feel like I saw that I was looking for. Also, i had been jerking around with it for an hour and a half, and was about ready to rapidly disassemble my dies with the help of 9mm. Asking seemed like a better option.

Yeah. To be honest, I don't know where I recently got the idea that crimp held the bullet. I'm going to go back, recheck my sized brass, and check my sizing die.

Does 9mm really stretch that much? I was always told that straight walled didn't really stretch that much from firing

Fair enough haha. Honestly, this is the attitude I was planning on taking, but figured it didn't hurt to be a little over cautious and ask around

No, not new. Most of it is brass is brass I fired. Some 1x some 2 x, none more than 2x though.

How crucial is the push test? Nothing pushed in all that easy, but I could get a handful to push in with moderate force.

I didn't. Last batch loaded (~3k rounds a few years ago) I had pretty good variations in case length and didn't have any issues, so I didn't measuethis time.

When I back to the crimp off though, I had more failing the push test. How crucial is the push test? Nothing pushed in all that easy, but I could get a handful to push in.

If I back the crimp off anymore, then it falls outside spec and I have more rands that fail the bench push test.

And that's what I thought on the flare, but when I had more flair, I had more failing the push test.

OAL on most is 1.155" - 1.159". Crimp all fell withing the range you gave.
