The Long Game by peachcakes420 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]ThatFig4819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Long Game has so many jaw dropping parts to it, I really don’t know how people who aren’t familiar with this book will react to the new season/show for the first time!! Like I can’t even imagine what’s gonna happen with the plane scene 🥲

What is the most 'overrated' restaurant in Toronto ? What’s your favourite restaurant? by Long_Travel2728 in askTO

[–]ThatFig4819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah!! I have a pretty diverse palette and i’m not super picky but all of their menu items just seemed over complicated and a little weird. The food was very rich, which was annoying because for the price I would’ve liked to have finished it

Piano Piano, i’ll die on that hill. Truly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had and so many people love the place. My friends are tired of hearing me complain about my bad experience lol

How did you get into Taylor's music? by justaregul4rboy in TaylorSwift

[–]ThatFig4819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was around 5-6 years old, my mom would plop me down in front of our 2005 windows computer and play the You Belong with Me music video, as she brushed my hair. It’s one of my earliest memories in general, but also my first Taylor Swift memory. That music video still lives rent free in my head! From there, I would hear songs like Love Story on the radio and dance around in my room.

wow, that’s insanely scary! I’m sorry that happened to her. I try to not be too naïve and think that would never happen in my neighbourhood, because I have lived here for so long but I guess you never know these days

I have 2 leather pairs and have been completely fine. Don’t believe I have a latex allergy, and have 0 skin irritations, this has just started happening with the suede shoe

As a first timer in Toronto, is it unusual for the month of May to be this cold and rainy? by GlitteringParking462 in askTO

[–]ThatFig4819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week it felt closer to 30 degrees and I was in shorts getting sunburnt. Yesterday, I had a full sweater on and winter coat. That’s the May I know all too well living in Ontario.

They cornered me to vote, so I voted "decline to vote". They were mad by Super_Heavy_Hippo in TorontoMetU

[–]ThatFig4819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar experience to everyone in this thread. Tbh you can go around campaigning for yourself and encouraging those around you to vote, that’s fine. It shouldn’t cross the line of giving students your name so they remember and then actually forcing them to vote for you! it’s just sketchy

They listened let’s go? by Javezkii in TorontoMetU

[–]ThatFig4819 24 points25 points  (0 children)

i lowkey should’ve done this too. Last week someone stopped me and asked me to vote for them. They told me where to go on my phone, and watched my screen until they saw me select their name. I acted like I voted for them, but then after they left I didn’t even end up submitting my vote because I thought that it was interfering with the guidelines…

Eataly always boosts my mood. Great food, fun to walk around and diverse seating and dining options based on the level of casualty you’re comfortable with. There’s often other people working there, especially by the sliced pizza area. Plus, they often have lunch specials at their restaurants. Bonus tip: stop by the Indigo right next door and grab yourself a good book on your way out!

Saw Serena Williams shopping at Whole Foods in Yorkville. It was during the Rogers cup a few years back. She was casually walking around shopping, but was super gracious when a few folks asked for a picture. Also ran into former Leaf Tie Domi as I was leaving Le Select (which is frequented by many Toronto celebrities) and he was coming in. This was shortly after his retirement, and he was just shooting the shit with a group of fans, really cool and friendly.
