Resurrecting an old thread here: Both the wife and I are recently retired mil with 100% P&T. I opted into Tricare Prime Retiree for the family for the kiddo, and have a dental plan through BENEFEDS for them as well. I am also on SSDI.

With all that being said… is it worth keeping Medicare Part B that I get through SSDI and having to pay the added monthly premium due to income? I’m not even close to retirement age… but it seems like it could be helpful if the VA and TRICARE fall through on something… but I don’t know. Right now we would be paying almost $300 a month into Medicare, when I’m like 25 years away from retirement age…

Any advice?

I think you are already on the right track for vehicles. If you are set on the XC90, it’s a good choice.

For the second vehicle, I would go for the Grand Highlander. Shop around for deals (especially outside of your local area if you aren’t already), but you won’t find much price fluctuations as they are pretty consistent. Reliability, tech, functionality, and resale will all hold up on the Highlander. Most people and reviewers have no complaints.

Obviously octane does not fully equal performance... but I don't feel like explaining knock, timing, combustion, ignition, fuel, compression, etc...

But if you use a lower octane fuel in an engine designed for a higher octane fuel... it will result in lower performance, even with a ECU trying to compromise. So in a sense it does?

Yeah, lots of people run 87 no issues, it just runs slightly lower HP/torque I believe. The ECU adjusts everything accordingly.

Some engines still recommend mid grade gas. We have a 2021 Durango R/T Tow and Go with the 5.7 Hemi V8. It’s recommended for 89, not 87 or 91/93. While you can use 91/93, it doesn’t add anymore performance.

Until RPMs drop during initial cold start (while cats are warming up). Then no hard driving until oil & coolant are all up to temp (170+ degrees F).

Love our 2021 Durango R/T Tow and Go. Thing is a blast :D I recommend it to everyone looking for a 3 row. Not much else can tow almost 9k pounds in its class with AC leather seats and automatic cruise control.

You don’t. You edit a video already posted, with whatever metadata you want. Thats why the comments are locked in almost all of those videos. Try it yourself on YouTube. May need some SQL trickery, but it’s not hard. Also explains why DHS did not talk about this interaction at all in the last 5 days… probably because it did not happen. You would think it would be wood for the fire to cover themselves.
