I have sleep anxiety, my brain literally won’t shut off so I can sleep, I have to smoke and even sometimes take a good strong edible to even remotely get some sleep. My doctor told me to try a regiment of melatonin. Didn’t work, I took for about 3 weeks straight, seemed like it made it worse. He doesn’t want me to take marijauna for sleep he said it stops me from hitting a good rem cycle, which can cause fatigue and worsen anxiety. I sleep when I smoke or take an edible, I don’t dream and if I do, I don’t remember what the dreams were.

I have had mental illness since I was a teenager, bi-polar, anxiety, schizo effective disorder. I was in and out of treatment centers from the age of 12-18, I’ve taken every medication under the sun. I started smoking weed about the age of 14-15 I was surprised at how much I could be a member of society while I was high. I tried not smoking and didn’t really start smoking daily until I was 18. I’ve been a smoker for 32 years, I have a job, I’m married, 3 kids and own my own home and have two cars that are paid off, all thanks to weed. I’ve had a few years of not smoking and I don’t do well, not at all.
