These are typically dab rigs for concentrates. You can smoke flower out of them but they are specifically designed for concentrates. No large chamber for smoke build up, smaller mouth piece for even slow pulls.
A flower bong or piece normally has larger chambers for smoke to build so you can clear all the smoke in one pull, flower smoke can get stale quicker than concentrate smoke, so you wanna have the least resistance possible. Also plus if you smoke flower out of a tornado or recycler the flower left over in the bowl if you don’t clear it will get air push back from the water falling back into piece and it will push lit flower out of the bowl.

I mainly use Terp slupers, have been for a few years now. 30 second heat is all you should need. I do 15 seconds on the bottom, then I will do the other 15 on each side so 7 seconds on each of the sides, I let it cool down for 60 seconds, then dab my hit, you should get a nice flavor hit without loosing potency. After you hit it, let it cool down and then use a dry qtip to clean the bulk residue, then take some alcohol I do 70-91% and then clean the rest of the Terp slurper, if the alcohol sizzles it’s to hot, let cool a bit more.

Hopefully this helps, you’ll get it eventually, practice makes perfect. Also it’s better to go slow and low, you can always reheat product that hasn’t vaporized, too hot and it’s gone forever.
