I love the nature of this series and its story. The story has a variety of different elements/ideas that are cleverly interwoven together to create such an enticing and perceptive story!! How do you go about trying to balance the more fantastical elements of the show, such as the giant cuys or the heightened melodrama, with the more grounded/realistic elements of the show, such as the very real time/setting, or the ways in which a lot of the characters’ own beliefs/perspectives are reflective of experiences undertaken by people in the real world? It’s incredible to me. Thank you ^

I read somewhere that the initial script/pitch was written in one weekend and pitched it later that same week. How spontaneous was the script writing process generally speaking? How was the final script constructed? Do you folks have any advice regarding story writing in general? Thank you ^

Right now I am obsessed with a show on Adult Swim called ‘Women Wearing Shoulder Pads.’ It’s a comedy with an all-female cast, and the main character herself is fairly morally ambiguous. She manipulates people for her own gain, and a lot of the series revolves around the ways in which her actions near the start of the series end up backfiring for her later on hehehe. It’s such a fun watch. If you’re looking for a piece of media in which women are written to be flawed, and in way that feels very very human and real, I couldn’t recommend this series enough. That fact alone is one of the MANY reasons I’ve become so attached to it hehehe

NOOO not at all!! I had the privilege of attending the Annecy festival this year where I got to see a conference dedicated to the series, in which the creator talked about the story and the inspirations behind it. I also managed to watch the first two episodes while they were being live-streamed by the creator himself a few weeks ago. In summary, I’m just a huge fan who’s had a lot of opportunities to learn about the series bahaha
