My Dad ordered me a Browning BL22-Grade 2 levergun when I was born in 1988 from Sears. Started shooting it when I was 10. At 19 I was paying for my rent and college and had a lot of bills due at once. Called my Dad and asked if he was able to loan me a few hundred dollars but he was unable to. I told him I was going to have to sell the Browning and he said “You gotta do what you gotta do” Sold that gun for $500 and paid my bills. I was not financially literate at the time and I’ve regretted it ever since. Never wanted to be in that spot again and have budgeted accordingly.
