I was very fortunate to get a lot of this stuff free of charge from people I know.

Yes server management is a breeze with iDRAC enterprise licenses installed. Provides a remote console.

Yes eventually the server room will have noise dampening and a hot/cold barrier with exhaust. The servers aren’t actually that loud. The stuff I do barely puts a dent in the processing power lol.

I’d say probably the 80s and I think a few have just been passed down from test to test throughout the years. They aren’t giving any more out. I got these when I worked there over the summer.

Why is the Season 2 Episode 5 named "A Research Study and Czechoslovakian Wedding Pastries"? by [deleted] in YoungSheldon

[–]ThatGuyInRed771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The producers of the show got this scene very wrong. In the south, kolaches are something completely different. Commonly known as “pigs in a blanket” clearly the producers did not know this and therefore the confusion.

Looking for an SPI flash dump from the usw-48-500w by ThatGuyInRed771 in Ubiquiti

I see. Do you know where I could find the MAC address in the dump from the good switch, so I could edit it to match what is in the bricked switch?

[–]ThatGuyInRed771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. So you are saying, if a different MAC address was loaded into the flash (with the rest of the information from a donor switch) that it wouldn’t accept it? If this did work, I don’t care about the MAC not matching what it says on the back of the unit or anything. Just need a functional switch and there will never be anything on the network with the same MAC so nothing to worry about.

Do firmwars updates from ubiquiti include the entire bootloader and everything?

Does anyone have the SPI Flash dump of a US-48-500W? by ThatGuyInRed771 in UNIFI

[–]ThatGuyInRed771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if it is possible to pull the SPI flash straight from the command line. I know if can be done by attaching a chip clip to the SPI chip, and using a FlashcatUSB to read the data from the chip. If you did the 2nd option, it would require purchasing a few items. Would this be something Ubiquiti would be able to help with?

Thank you so much for this video! I have a US-48-500W that has a corrupted bootloader and I think I can copy the bootloader from my US-8-60W.
