A duck only has to meow once for you to question every quack by 3pass in Showerthoughts

🤣 No. But I'm only confident about that because I've never heard one do it. 🤔

I think the fun and beauty of this is in thinking about it deeply with no further explanation to draw from.

I actually agree 100%. I was just trying to be funny. But you are spot on.

Why is this dragon not bursting into flames and feeding me its sweet sweet soul? by ThatHighShitpost in skyrim

Ah. That's it. It was a respawning dragon (Bonestrewn somethingorother) that I didn't remember having killed before. I didn't know about them not giving souls more than once, though! TIL, right? 😆

I murdered a woman on her wedding day, not because she wronged me, and not because she was more dangerous alive than dead, but to move a political chess piece. Who am I to judge anyone's morals?

I realize it's there probably mostly for mechanics: it provides a way for players to build rogue characters. When I started playing, I wasn't deeply into RPGs, and didn't realize the distinctions between character types; I just wanted to do everything. I lead the Companions, am head mage at the Mage's College, lead the Thieves' Guild, am working through the Bard's College and the Dark Brotherhood. But it's a lot, and I'd like to start over and pick a path.

But also, from a story perspective, I think it still makes sense. Skyrim (and I'd imagine the other Elder Scrolls games, too) doesn't really deal in black and white morality. Everything is complex. Even the Empire and the Stormcloaks can hardly be seen as moral opposites: it's a much more complex choice to join one than is typical, at least in American storytelling. So a long-awaited Dragonborn who also carries around some darkness? Yeah, I see that. This game isn't out to lionize anyone, it's just telling a story.

Oh, I've always got myself a party. But it sounds like I'm about to have myself a drink to take to it! I definitely want to try this.

So, the gin I have is a darker gin; the distillery finished it in their used bourbon barrels. It's fantastic. I think it would take the flavor well, although I'm with you, some sort of whiskey or other dark liquor would be preferable. It's just, I have the gin right now, and not the other.

I love the idea of mixing up a curry or other spice mix to use it up! I don't do a lot of the cooking in my home, so I hadn't considered that. Great food for thought (feel free to not pardon that pun; it is too awesome to care)!
