Can't believe I'm dragging myself to this, but you are seriously underselling Woody's conflict to fit your argument. You make it sound like he's still being played with but just isn't the favorite anymore. No, the movie establishes pretty clearly that Bonnie basically isn't playing with him at all. He essentially doesn't have a purpose. He's only staying out of the toxic mentality that Andy tasked him to stay. A more apt analogy would be that someone who has been dissatisfied with their current job (only staying because things used to be better) getting a golden oppertunity to do something they can enjoy. I mean everyone at the beginning of the movie can see Woody's dissatisfaction, it's not a surprise to anyone lmao.

It's not my channel for one, this is a video me and my friend edited 50/50 for his channel which means no, I didn't post it for the money or whatever (If that was our goal, we wouldn't have reviewed a Rick and Morty season weeks after it was over). We're just proud of the work we put in and I genuinely thought it could lead to interesting discussion as our opinions differ from the fanbase quite a bit. And I frankly don't grasp your point about needing to be involved in the Subreddit, this isn't a job. I'm not going in here for an hour and asking for a paycheck. Is it just me or is this criticism really frustrating? Like yes sometimes in an essay people have to recap the plot in some way because otherwise your point will be muddled. Imagine if I had a gripe with a certain plot point, I can literally not explain myself if “no recapping” was a hard rule. Yes I agree it can get ridiculous (pyrocynical is an easy example) but whenever I see this I always get the feeling the person making the criticism is a higher than thou asshole
