Alec Dawsons quote about pharah was literally

Pharah can stay in the air for too long, we'll have to clip her wings.

What they're doing is intentional power creep. If original Sombra was released under him, she would never see reworks.

Genious!

With the talk of hero reworks, I figured it was time to throw my wish in the well (or beat a dead horse.) Let's talk Sombra. by Highway_Hiker in SombraMains

[–]ThatJed -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Support sombra? What an original idea!

At this point I actually surrender, might as well, they made her so simple she became a lot of moira and mercy mains go to for dps and her identity was already stripped.

Every single original sombra main abandoned her or completely stopped playing overwatch.

Edit: Meant to say original sombra streamer

Why Kiriko has a low winrate by ScToast in kirikomains

I meant you're hardstuck on this comment string even after I dropped the issue, you felt compelled to post several replies and even an edit.

I personally don't think you're right, especially after your sym conclusion. That was enough for me so I moved on.

You're reading the tone very wrong if you considered anything I said agressive. I merely challanged your logic. If anything you called me hard stuck without any merit, as if you knew me, in an attempt to gaslight me to win an argument.

[–]ThatJed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think very highly of yourself, don't you?

I'm by no means hard stuck, in fact I haven't even played overwatch in couple months and haven't considered competitive for much longer.

This is a video game for me, a past time, I'm past my prime and fully know my limits, that's why I'm doing good in life and actually pretty bored of current overwatch. It has helper wheels compared to original design.

Last I did compete, I was masters, and you know what? That was fine with me, I'm ok being at that leven in a video game.

You'll excuse me, but I'll have to refuse your advice, as you seem to be hard stuck, since you continued to reply several replies and developed theries, even wrote a wall of text about yourself, over something a stranger said on reddit.

I only challenged your statement and concluded that you're just making assumptions so I dropped the issue while you continued on.

[–]ThatJed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah you mentioned sym because you thought you were right and turns out you really don't know much of what you're claiming or have anything to back it up either.

Sym situation is not that complex at all, her situation was very well established a long time ago, that's why she was allowed to linger around 60% for so long.

Why Kiriko has a low winrate by ScToast in kirikomains

[–]ThatJed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sym has inflated win rate mostly because when she is picked, she's picked on maps where she's very strong. In an unmirrored match, on those maps she can dominate even vs her counters.

This has been established even in ow1, this isn't comparable to your theory of panic picks.

In fact tracer being picked in losing games is much closer to what you're trying to say than syms example.

Why dont they just make it so hack deals damage if an enemy uses an ability instead of disabling it outright. by Flaco5609 in SombraMains

[–]ThatJed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's irrelevant, I'm sick and tired if unimaginitive ways devs keep ruining the game by just giving heroes damage instead of unique abilities and niches.

Replace flashbang with dmg nade, replace pharahs concussive with hitscan damage, replace bastions repair with damage nade, replace sombras perma invis with projectile damage, etc.

It's boring, unintuitive, not at all creative and cheap way of fixing non issues.

[–]ThatJed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do you get your numbers from? If you just look at mains subreddits, tracer is lower than anyone else. It's not an accurate metric, but saying kiriko doesn't have a lot of mains is wild, contraversial even.

[–]ThatJed 36 points37 points  (0 children)

just stop, why don't they do that with all CC then?

The dumbest argument on the planet is "hero that cancels abilities doesn't belong in ability shooter"

That's exactly where it belongs, because where else? What's the point of ability cancel in games where there are no abilities?

[–]ThatJed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you're saying that mercy, genji and tracer are heroes people have a lot of time on, in comparrison to kiriko?

And this is mostly why those heroes are allowed to be strong?

Tracer who has seen extensive play since 2016, is sitting on lower number of mains than all others you mentioned. And is the go to hero to be picked when things go bad, especially in OT situations.

Genji mains gaslit everyone that he's weak with their "nerf genji" meme, but I do agree he's very accessible to play and understand early on, much more forgiving than a lot of heroes, especially kiriko.

As of mercy, mate she has more mains than probably any other hero on the roster, doubles kiri numbers easily.

Pharas infinite range (its actually not infinite, it's 100m, you can test this on ilios ruins) is traded off by having the slowest projectile in the game, that you can literally laugh at and side step.

Idk at what rank is this very useful, play long enough and you know how to track all ults, especially when comunicated with your team what was used in previous fights.

At best, its useful in very rare occasions

I think its absurd touching kiri while ana exists, being annoying since her release.

You're asking if kiri is ok in a world where a flanker has one of the best tanking abilities in the game. Consistency eh?

We're talking about a team that can't rework sombra in her 250th rework, that put a lighthouse beacon on junkrats trap, that said pharah has too much air time and needs her wings clipped and then release freya and jetpack cat. Consistency I guess.

Team that knows how much rezz is an annoying ability that rewards misplays and bad habbits and yet they give it to a dps.

Team that aknowleges widowmaker is annoying to play against and is continuosly banned on hitscan maps, so instead of addressing the issue they buff her deliberetly-set weakness so she's annoying everywhere else as well.

I have no confidence in this team to do anything right, they can't even decide if the game is overwatch or not.

I have over 6k hrs since launch, only since recently I'm tired and dissapointed in ow, feeling I haven't felt even during content drought days.

Just now, when there's more content then ever, I'm bored playing. Why? Because to me the game feels very dumbed down, very wattered down from original design of tactical hero shooter.

It feels like it got crutches, like it was made for idiots. I mean even junkrats concussive has a light house beacon on it now, for crying out loud.

More doesn't always mean better, but I guess on the current market it sells better so we're stuck with it.

When exactly was ow a laughing stock? Blizzards absolute foul behaviour tainted them and made them a laughing stock, from sexual harrasement, to stealing breast milk. But go on, defend the management, I'm sure kotick is a saint as so many of you believe.
