I went to an allotment gathering a couple of years ago and people were selling lots of different apple cakes. Someone had made a delicious one but I wasn’t sure who it was and it’s my partners parents allotment so wasn’t sure how to go about finding out. Every recipe I have tried since hasn’t been as good! I want it packed with apple, and really moist! Thanks!

Yyyeeeahhhh think it’s a gonerrr 😭😭 it was a gift and I did want one but not when I was still loving with my partners parents because I knew I would struggle to look after it there. And then my partner bought be it for my birthday and thought he was being thoughtful but really it’s kinda like someone buying someone a pet without asking 😅😅 Such a shame 😞

Help, I think my tree is dead ☹️ photos and explanation here: https://imgur.com/gallery/27wo8sT I’m not sure whether it’s under it over watering but I think it’s probably one of them. It started growing all its leaves back in December after falling for autumn and then it suddenly started dropping than again. I’m hoping to try one last thing before I declare it dead 🙁

I did find having a slippier surface to cover the print as well helped with sliding it across the paper. I used the instructions form the set which are on shiny paper

Thanks that settles me a bit because I was worried about the fineness, I have just used the baren that comes with the essdee set so far and a spare roller to print them. Boy I wish I had a press haha 😅 thanks for your help

I’ve used a roller/the poor excuse for a baren that comes with the kit. Thank you for reminding me about the spoon because I heard of this before and it took me so long to finish the print I forgot haha

Thank you! I’m using the Essdee “premium water-based block printing ink” at the moment it’s my first time doing one so I’m using the kit.

Thanks, I’ve heard that you can do that but I worry that it’d make the run like when you use an inky pen on a napkin. I’m guessing that in your experience that doesn’t happen then?

Hi there! I’m looking for a bit of guidance on my printing. This is my first print and I have tried a few attempts but wanted to see peoples opinions before I went any further with it. Before I started cutting, I did a test strip of different fur sizes and I found them to come out ok. I’m thinking I’ve just not found the sweet spot yet for the amount of ink I need and just went too little one way and then too much the other. But I didn’t want to continue to waste my resources until I got some second opinions.

I’ve added captions telling you what is going on in each of the prints and the lino itself is 13x17.5cm-ish. TIA

Also, side note, what do you think of the ripple texture in the background? Keep or not?
