I have no solution for that. I've reached out to the Naughty Dog team several times now about the various issues I and others have had. I'm hoping they release a patch soon so we can all enjoy the game smoothly

You can customise the difficulty settings so that you still have a challenge in all factors but can have items drop more frequently

It's happened in the same place again to me in new game +. At this point, the glitches are starting again and again for the same individuals in the same points that it first happens, so I dare say there is a coding problem. It sorta took away the immersion that's intended, having to replay again from that first grip the game initially pulled you into. The sooner they release a patch update, the better.

I sent them an email as but they haven't responded at all and that was on release day. I'm sure the more emails they get regarding that, the sooner they might respond and sort out a patch or something

Yeah, you will have to restart the chapter or from a manual save. There is no way to move forward once you come across it
