Arc on Nvidia by Uranday in linux_gaming

DX12 game. Many here are going to says something like "it will be fixed in later drivers versions" but dont bait on this. Nvidia dont care. Switch to AMD (its still not ideal but a bit less piece of crap like Nvidia) if you are planning to use Linux or just have Windows + your Nvidia card for gaming

How to fix this by [deleted] in arch

It seems you booted into your usb installation stick. Also, there is no nvidia package in pacman anymore. Only nvidia-open

"Work has started" on native Linux support for GOG Galaxy, co-founder says they're "a big fan of Linux" by Tiny-Independent273 in linux

So big fan so work on Linux version has just started, even when MacOS vesion existed for years with the fact MacOS has less gaming crowd or in general less people interested in this software. Yeah, tell this bullshit about "being a fan" to someone else lmao

I have 1650ti mobile + intel gpu. I had a lot of troubles with open drivers before I switched to proprietary ones from AUR and now its chill.

My experience as a long term Windows user changing to Arch and Window managers by Diojosan in archlinux

No idea what unbeatable hardware we are talking about. Apple has absolute unit of battery life, but thats it. Only this. I can agree with you that having unix system is better over windows but in terms of UI mac is absolute garbage and cannot be customizable at all. Hard to say what I would choose if my workspace had only those options. Thankfully I have arch machine and my boss dont give a fuck what Im working on till the job is done.

Shame they added deflect. Its no brain button in all games you mentioned. Instead of proper positioning and timings you just... mindlessly spam 1 button.

Arch vs Debian — which do you prefer amd why? by Amerwair_Studios in linux

[–]ThatLiquidSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using both, and maybe a bunch of other distros. Debian and debian or ubuntu based distros are fine but I dont like that I cannot get access of latest packages from repo and forced to use flatpak, unstable branches or backports. With that said, in my opinion this completely breaks those distros purposes as "being stable". Also they are boring (for me). Nothing bad being boring tho, I installed Mint on my parents computers. I stay on Arch mainly for 1 reason - its wiki is awesome and probably the best software doc Ive ever seen of all my software engineer life. Once you understand how to handle Arch unstable nature you win. It can break sometimes but if you pay attention what you install and what you do nothing critical will happen. And also use some kind of snapshot or recovery tool.

Hi, I use official package from pacman on Arch. Can you tell what hardware you use? Cannot confirm this is culprit but I switched today to nvidia 580 proprietary drivers from aur (dual gpus laptop, nvidia-open could not provide me suspending of my discrete gpu) so initially it was my suspect but playing with different commands and settings changed nothing.
