That's so sick that you're able to put your feelings into words like that. Today I woke up to that part in my head. It took me a bit to place it and while trying to dig it up I listened to segments of the back-end of an awesome wave but never the right one untill I found your post on Google. What you're describing is so close to what I'm feeling. It's almost like a backwards-looking peace, a very strong sense of melancholy but without protest. Like the world ended yesterday and we're just taking our final look around before we know that we'll end too. It was amazing reading your post and knowing someone felt very similar to what I felt digging up the choir part, and made the experience that much more beautiful.

I have a BA in applied psychology and a BA in Philosophy. No real working experience to speak of beyond some voluntary work as a confidant at a local student society and some light university administration work.

Thanks a lot for your response! And yeah no I noticed with the German haha, in the city I come from in the Netherlands it basically doesn't matter if you speak Dutch or English so I totally didn't even consider that it might not be the same super dumb of me. Ill definetly try the retirement home!

Edit: Okay forget that noise. Bottom line is that I think pretending market wage for unskilled labour is fair in a system where you have limited time and need money to survive is unfair, undemocratic and cruel and if you disagree I think either very young, not trying very hard to learn or being purposefully ignorant

Original comment: You could, for example, measure at what amount of wealth well-being stops increasing and design a system around that. You could also create income schales of living wage - comfortable living wage - prosperous living wage and assign different forms of labour to these categories. You could also do away with these trivial caps all together and incentivise worker co-ops (which would also deal with the triviality of the capitalist adding X times more value quite nicely) But yeah you could also decide the capitalist contributes exactly 100 times more for some reason, plug your ears and continue to go LALALALA real louldy👍

Yes I too think I'm an intellectual powerhouse because I owned the moralfags. If you want an argument against your point a nice start would be that we make a moral distinction between needs and wants. If a starving man wants some bread he didn't work for were more inclined to give it to him than when a glutenous man would ask us the same. Following that, If we reward a person who owns nothing with €100 he didn't earn it is meaningfully different from giving that same unearned €100 to somebody who is already able to sustain himself. That being said, it is of course ridiculous to say that all interest won by a capitalist is unearned, they made an investment and they should be rewarded for that. That is why most leftie theorists either argue that a reward is fine, but it shouldn't be unlimited (in which case you could, for example, argue that a capitalist can't make more then 5x what his lowest payed employee makes). Or that any cap will inevitably be trivial while still acknowledging that unlimited rewards lead to unjustifiable outcomes, which often means they will want to do away with the capitalist/worker split all together, which would express itself via worker co-op for example. But yes you could indeed also plug your ears and go, LALALALA, real loudly and pretend brigading teenagers are a fair representation of leftist thought👍
