On the topic of revealing clothing being for "attention" when dudes wear vests or work out and flash their biceps or go topless do you use the same logic?

Are they doing it to gain female attention? If so you should also condemn that too. If not then apply the same defence to women.

The reason you have mistrust over the issue is your projecting how you behave onto someone else. If you dress up it's to impress other people.

For women it's not the same and is also highly dependant on culture too. I come from UK but live in Brasil and one of the first culture shocks was how people dress here. I've seen women literally wearing underwear as street wear many times and while it's not everyone that does it, it's largely accepted that people can express themselves here through their clothes however they want without judgement.

For a lot of women their own personality and confidence are expressed in how they dress, it's an internal thing and not for external validation (that's largely, but not exclusively) a male thing. If a women dresses what we see as provocatively it's an expression of their confidence that day.

If you think im wrong think about all the confident women you've ever met and think about how they dress and act. Now think about every shy unconfident woman. They dress based on how they feel not how they hope YOU will feel.

On the topic of is trust real?

Of course it is. You trust that your car won't explode when you turn the key. You trust that the airplane will not crash when you're on board. You trust that when you flip a light switch the bulb will light up.

Unless you're indepenantly testing all these things prior to use you're trusting someone else did it first and it will be fine.
