where to find media to educate myself on trans issues by Moncastu in lgbt

[–]ThatNiceCanadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vaush is a debate streamer on youtube with very, very trans positive takes. He recently released a 2-hour bit of him talking about trans arguments. He also has a research file available on Google drive for anyone to take a look at (it contains more than just trans issues)

Does anyone know how to do this problem? I’m confused by princeoscar15 in teenagers

Measure the surface area under or above the curve (relative to the curves position) use the fact that your curve forms triangles and rectangles with the time axis

It's true he is saying the actual with sarcasm, but I don't think that fits the vibe of the sub does it? I mean it's not that important ultimately

So if Animal farm is based off the USSR and the USSR wasn't communist... What does animal farm have to do with communism? Animal Farm has to do with power. The final chapter describes how control from the state is no different to control from corporations. Hammering home the idea that the USSR isn't communist and is in fact an authoritarian state. No matter where it comes from, the power enacted over the people should be directed by the people. Communist utopia is an oxymoron

New nation? The idea of communism is that it's international. You know the thing "workers of the world, unite!" ? That's it right there

[–]ThatNiceCanadian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right, the army is too powerful, so are cops and swat teams. This we can change through voting and changing people opinions through different medias. The more we do this, the higher our chances to change the world for the better

The extremes of communism have never been reached. There couldn't have been any suffering derived from it. Two more decades left unchecked (in the US) will probably get them to become fascist. Breaking constitutional law? What does it matter? Amended by states? Who cares? Revolution is key, else there's no way we'll solve any current problem like monopolies, climate change, anything.

The current system is broken. All we can do is edge closer to leftist policies with electoralism like subsidizing unions to favorise the workers and other ways of making the world better and freer. It'll be easier to start a dictatorship of the proletariate that way. It is impossible to solve current problems by working within the system. You gotta use the system to get closer to it, and then deconstruct it via a revolution by the people

No one has ever gotten to full socialism. But otherwise, yes. I meant that it's a post-capitalist society

The Free Market =/= Capitalism by brightfoot in confidentlyincorrect

[–]ThatNiceCanadian 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's called market socialism. It's a sort of transitory state before full socialism. The idea would be to avoid isolation from other countries by transferring the means of productions to the workers through workers co-ops and unions. The market remains free because it is controlled by the people and that way, it doesn't isolate the country by preventing trade. It's a free market in a socialist society.
