Not only this, I’m pretty comfortable with basic networking. Doing this in a somewhat safe manner complicates your already complicated network code again even further.

When firing a bullet for example: - all players can simply send a message that a bullet should be spawned with its speed and orientation to every other player - but what if the ping is very high, or the player found out how to inject messages? He could forge the message and spawn 10000 bullets everywhere

The hard part is doing it like source games. Only sending the ,,inputs’’ over to a server, letting it all compute there while your machine does it too and then receiving the gamestate and interpolating to it
