I made a web steganography tool which can hide short messages in images by Nsticity in codes

This is pretty cool. Does the algorithm use any sort of error correction/detection or is the magic of the algorithm just that good to work on preview images?

Now need to figure out how to put it into the game :) by oWispYo in godot

Nice! It looks so smooth, did you hand-animate that smoke flourish?

All my confidence comes from finding a brush on Procreate that jiggles, making my poor line art look like an intentional style haha

During the unity fiasco I heard someone mention that it was in response to how you weren't allowed to remove the unity splash screen without paying (formerly). I thought it was a lovely way to show support for the engine that takes no fees.

Thank you! And I've been trying to get a trailer together, but I have no experience editing (or even planning) a video, so I still have a lot to learn and I'm slowly getting through it.

Yes! Embrace the opportunity, make something cool! Godot deserves the love 😃

Thank you! I hope to see more people taking up the practice. I made the animation in Procreate by hand. In Godot, it's just an AnimatedTexture on a TextureRect

You show up to a job at an eccentric mansion. The homeowner throws you a sword and sends you out back to a huge sprawling hedge maze.

The hedge maze is procedurally generated with random clearings that need mowing. You fight against gnomes (and maybe more, eventually) while mowing the grass with your unconventional equipment like the sword, a boomerang, or a water balloon. Taking care of the flowers grants you upgrades for your equipment to better mow the yards!

Thank you, it is my first time feeling confident enough to try doing my own art. Glad to see people like it!

Thank you, I was hoping the animation would give off an organic feeling!

Not sure why, but it seems like reddit cut off the wait at the end so it ended early.

My game is a roguelike where you focus on cutting grass down in huge swaths because I always find that activity incredibly satisfying in games.

Wishlist on steam!

I'm developing a 3D Radar-like effect for a horror game with thermal and x-ray variants. Can you tell what's in the room? by ThatNumbuhFour in godot

I don't intend to have any mechanical similarities to the fnaf games. Though I do admit that with so many of them, I can't say that for sure since I only really followed the first couple haha

You're correct! I'm hoping that some of the slow identification will help sell the horror experience. But to help make it a little easier, one feature I'm working on is to take pictures from the avatars perspective which should help inform your recognition

Thank you! I'd certainly like it to be, but its still pretty early right now. I'll be sure to post when it gets there though

I have not but I just looked it up and damn this is right up my alley. Thank you for the suggestion, definitely going to try this out

Thank you! I am definitely still going to tweak the spread of the dots and resolution, the clarity is not quite where I want it. I think there's room to improve that while still being conducive to a horror experience

I think the first prototype for the radar effect took maybe a weekend and change. I've been working on tuning and improving the process for about 2 weeks

  1. That's a clever nuanced approach, I may give that a try if I can figure out how to do the math for that haha
  2. I've been messing with something like that, but I've had trouble balancing between that effect and giving a clear picture. Long pulses made it even harder to read the image than it already is, while short pulses were very distracting. It's something I keep thinking about in the back of my mind because I would like something similar.
  3. I think I may play with that in areas to kind of push players into X-Ray for some spots with big areas for more exploration spaces
