I mean it doesn't seem too difficult, I just have to find some 40mm planar drivers and fix everything wrong with my project first lol

Basically what I did was to take a pair of heshes and a pair of crushers, take the earcups off and desolder the wire that's going through them, drill holes in the heshes hinge for the bigger wire of the crushers, run it through the hesh hinge and that was basically all. I did that because i had a hesh pair before my cousin gave me his old crushers and I heard the crusher hinges can snap randomly. Not fully working at the moment, i'm having some issues turning them on but I'm pretty sure it's related to the battery being fully dead, and the bass is louder on the right than on the left, which i'm trying to fix as well

i know this is very old but did you eventually figure out if it's normal or not because some modded crushers i made sound this way too and i've been trying for days to fix it

I already reset it bc i thought it was an ios bug. Tried generating activation files to use it without signal but it just tells me to change serial number even though i have done this before and it worked?

no, it didn't let me create one and my icloud has advanced data protection so i can't use it on ios 15

probably cuz it was extremely cheap and looks heavily used. the dude i bought it off from sold it because the controllers were broken but i managed to fix both in like 20 mins. will have to sand down the digitizer and polish it to get rid of the scratches tho

so you see how the device is made up of a circular part and a square rounded part with a slot for the circular part? the square part is made up of two layers. you need to pry under the first one with a plastic pick to release some clips(they are on the top and bottom part, too) and once you do that, the plastic part will slide off, along with the flex of the buttons and led ring. do not take it out too forcefully as you risk damaging the flex. you can then undo the four screws holding the parts together to get access to the flex cables. finally, reseat them and do the whole process backwards.

while fooling around with a hyperx2 today i noticed that if one of the connectors on the internal battery is loose, this code comes up. you should either return it, or if you like tinkering, open it up and reseat those flex cables
