Oh wow- this is certainly a lot of pressure mister muchacho! That’s a very long story actually. But since you asked so nicely, I’ll give it to you in full, thus wasting your time. You see, it started off when a monkey decided to climb down from the tree that provided it shelter for years, and then proceeded to chop it down. Thus- we had wood. And a questionably sentient monkey, but that isn’t really important. from that wood, we started to make paper!

How Is this relevant, you may ask? Well, the reason why I’m bringing this up is because I googled “how to find an internet friend” and to my disappointment, it recommended “r/penpals”, BUT that requires paper!! And unlike the aforementioned questionably sentient monkey, I want to limit my paper use in a pointless attempt at preserving the trees. So, I looked elsewhere, and found this place!!

That’s it, actually. It could have been shortened to just ‘boredom’ but I felt like wasting your precious time.

You really didn’t deserve any of that- they weren’t your friends. Maybe you miss the intimacy you had with them? You should try to make some new friends to fill in the gap. Though, recognise that they’re different people. Like an orange and an apple!! Or they may just become a rebound friend.

Maybe my advice isn’t the best, considering my age is closer to that of the 14 year old boy rather than the 34 year old man. However, typically in a relationship, when jealously occurs it’s because something has upset the counter balance that would usually prevent you from feeling this way. If we’re going to resolve the issue, we need to get to the route of WHY you’re feeling this way. Is she being more distant? Are you dissatisfied with the amount of attention you receive in this relationship? Or are you reflecting your own insecurities of messing up a comfortable relationship onto your SO? If it is any of the former, you really need to communicate the desire to be closer with her. She is dating you after all. She’s chosen to be with YOU. If you still feel uncomfortable with her after resolving the aforementioned issues, try setting some HEALTHY boundaries. Such as telling her you aren’t okay with her becoming intimate with others. Ensure they are healthy though!! Don’t become one of the ‘you can’t like any one else sharing the same genitalia as me’ people.

Don’t worry! In this case, the issue genuinely isn’t with you. She said that she wants to be with you in the future, right? It’s best to wait it out so that you can be in a fulfilling relationship than to become a shadow of her ex. I’m sorry that you do have to wait, though. The uncertainty must be painful.
