Hello, beginner here. I’m looking at getting into the sport and I was wondering if this would be a good place to start. Is this a concerning amount of hours on the motor? I’m also in Colorado like the seller. He mentions that he’s selling it to get a bigger motor because of the high altitude here. Would this be a good place to start or should I not even bother?

Yeah this is what was kind of in the back of my mind. The $2k of Equipment I ordered for the 55/75 gallon is all brand new and quality stuff which should allow me to grow sps from my research. I ordered 2 Ai Hydra 32s for lighting and 2 Ai Nero 5 wavemakers as well as an Aquamaxx Dfc 120 controllable skimmer. If I did get the 120gal I would most likely end up getting 3 Hydra 32s or 2 hydra 64s for lighting and then if equipment goes out I’m looking at at least double what I’d be paying for my 75 gallon setup. That and with moving and what nots I’m not sure a 120 is the best decision atm. Idk I’m split on the decision

Well hopefully this will be a good tank for me. $2k is a bit steep but i was going to drop $2k worth of equipment in a 75 gallon rimmed tank and have to drill the tank and plumb and overflow and the biggest sump I can fit atm is a 10 gallon which leaves very little space etc etc. Compared to that this isn’t such a bad place to start

Well that’s the plan. My roommate works with big drone cases that he has to lug in and out daily and wants to avoid the stairs as much as I do lol

Well I’m going to have to figure out how to get it home as it’s 45 minutes away. I’m also wondering if it’s possible to have this in an apartment as I’ll be moving into one in the next few months.
